Ancient news...but I like the achievements. I like what Halo 3 the CoD4 did....online acheivements = sucky because people are always boosting and fighting over weapons.
Are those the names of the Levels in Halo 3? They made it a lot more simple this time around, instead of things like "Assault on the Control Room" it is simply "Assault".
I like the fact that its not 100% based on online like other games. Like COD4 and Halo 3 are basing it mostly around single player is which how it should be. Because not everyone has xbox live!

People will still boost and fight over weapons. There are rankings in both Halo 3 and COD4. And i remember more than a few times in halo 2 people stealing and hogging weapons.

Well yeah, people are going to boost and fight over weapons regardless....but at least now they won't use the excuse "I'm going for my achievement", unless they are boosting for the ranking achievements for Halo
I do like the fact that HALO 3 doesn't really have online achievements, but from a financial point it makes no sense. HALO 3 will sell XBOX Live, so they should have included more online achievements to get others interested.

Because I think online achievements have the potential to ruin team play. I don't care if they give you 10 points for opening the box, just so long as the team play remains intact and stays away from the Gears of War flavor. I think it would be best to keep your assumptions to your self next time.

agreed, online achievements can sometimes slant gameplay.
