Okay, I've only had an X360 for a couple of weeks, but in that time I've seen 3 of these topics on this forum. I can't imagine what the regulars must feel like when they see this "topic" pop up every few days.

On the PS3 forums, it's usually "Gears of War or Halo 3 vs. __________?" I guess we can never truly escape it...

How the hell can you compare a game that isnt even out yet to one that has been for a few months?

I'd pick Gears 2.

Why? Because Gears 1 was better than Halo 3 and Gears 2 is supposed to be better than Gears 1.

Gears 2 will be good, but I will always like Halo better, Gears is fun but its not my favorite game. Halo 3 has infinite replay value, Gears of War... well, maybe the singleplayer with a friend... but Halo 3 accomodated 4 people... hmm maybe multiplayer... boring shotgun-fest... just seems plain-out uninteresting to me.

Besides this topic being irrelevant, because GOW2 isn't out yet, I will still go with Halo 3 for now. I haven't played GOW2, nor has anyone else, so it's hard to say. I did, however, play GOW, and it was an exciting experience, but for me it wasn't anywhere near the fun of Halo 3's mp, or co - op. That's just my opinion.ace070590

Anyway, I'll "guess" and still go with Halo 3. Halo has always had good MP, and a decent campaign, so I'm very happy.

This says it all. I hate to say it big halo fan but i just dont like halo multi. Gears multi kicks ass. Halo i play for single and i still have to says gears single kicks for ass.

Gears of War kicked Halo's butt in so many ways. And I love Halo.

So I think Gears 2 will be nothing but an improvement.
