HALO 3 best graphics?

I dont own a 360, but have played a good deal of halo 3 at my friends house. I own a ps3. Anyway I was told that Halo 3 has the best graphics on any system.

No. Halo 3's graphics are slightly above average.

halo's art design is clean, crisp, and bright, and it looks beautiful...but it may not be the best. Its a toss up between many different games depending on what your tastes are.butkis689

Clean, crisp? Rofl. Seriously... what HDTV do you own because I will buy it off you.../sarcasm. Halo 3 is a very fun game. It's great but the graphics are nothing to brag about. Many of the levels had REALLY LOW textures and detail. Resolution isnt even 720p so there's plenty of jaggies to showcase. Dont get me wrong, Halo 3 has one of the best lighting and shadows but half of it is dumbed down by bad graphics. Weird thing is, the graphics started to greatly improve towards the end of the game. 3/4 of it was average.

I after I saw one of the painted backgrounds, I forgot all about the graphics

No, they are far from the best, very good, but not best imo

but i dont think h3 was made for the graphics...

its graphics are good in some places and bad in others but the best graphics on any system is metal gear solid 4

i think the game really shines when you use the film feature and get a good look of the action up close, with a good view/lighting & pose the Master Chief can look like one of those McFarlane figures, its the little details that count i think, but yeah lots of jaggies

UT3 > Halo 3.

Halo 3 does look good, don't get me wrong but UT3 looks much better (The 360 version)

Lol mgs4 looks great but the best looking game EHH nop and considering your gamertag is all about Snake and so is your PSN tag so your biased because your opinion comes of your love for the game.

whoever told you that bs is an obvious fanboy. And if you got a PS3 honestly you shouldn't be asking this question. There are dozens of games with better graphics

I'll admit it, Halo 3 graphics are amazing

but there are some games with better graphics

Halo 3's graphics are often critized for being "average" or "like Halo 2 in HD". But I disagree. No, it's by now means the best looking game around, but it does have some stunning lighting effects, and I love the subtle motion blur. It's not one of those games that'll instantly slap you in the face with visuals, but if you take some time to look at it, it's quite beautiful.... RyD3n

yea the lighting is good but those human faces are horrid! they're so bad that the only reason I think of Halo 3's graphics o be a bit meh is because of those human textures and model, and the resolution, I reckon 720p should have been possible

CoD4 looks good from far away, but have you ever ran up close to somethin and looked at it. The textures in that game arent very good at all, but from a distance everythin looks spectacular.

I agree. The artstyle is what I love most about the game. Other shooters try to shoot for realistic graphics and there are plenty of them. It's too bad some gamers think its too "cartoony" for them to appreciate it.

I don't think so man. The game looks alright in the single player and when it comes to the online it doesn't even run at 720p. I have to change the screen size to a smaller image just so it doens't look so stretched on my 40 inch LCD.Strife88

Actually, the game runs at 640p in both SP and MP. That's strange it seems stretched on you screen...

i agree with that, seems like we are in the minority. its not the best looking game on the 360 but its still a very good looking game with a great, bright and vibrant art style. the cut scenes arent very good in comparison with gears or mass effect but ingame the graphics are great. the textures are also very impressive close up unlike cod 4 for example whose textures are very blocky.

Unreal Engine 3 owns Halo 3 in teh face. that is all. Best graphics goes to Gears of War, even to this day (UT3 is a close second, and will be topped this November). MGS4 graphics were not all that.TIE_Elite_Pilot

Halo 3 is one of my top 5 games of the 2007 and the graphics are nice but the game isnt close be a landslide to the best!
