It might not double the sales but tell me how many more people are gonna buy it because of the beta. I bet a lot of people like myself that are iffy about buying crackdown, will change their minds because of the halo 3 beta.

Exactly
I played the demo for 2 minutes then deleted it immedietly. The irony is that it took more than an hour to download the demo and less than a few minutes to get rid of it. ;)
Do you really think crackdown is gonna be that bad?BonesNFGyeah. i laugh at the people who think thae game is better than saints row. i mean saints row has a single player portion and over 14 side missions or so. whats does crack down have. 1. take down gangs (the single player part) and 2. a racing side mission. thats pretty much it 2 things to do and 2 things you can do in co-op. i dont see why people want this game. its no worth a full priced game mabey 30 dollars but not 60

Look...Just because you say something is bad, doesn't make it so. Is Crackdown repetitive, yes. Does it have any real variety? No. Did me and my friends still manage to play the demo for 10-15 HOURS, yes, and that is why I am buying it. It might not offer the most variety (or any at all) but its just stupid fun, and sometimes, stupid fun gets you a lot farther than a deep experience.

I think Crackdown might be O.K. Don't judge the game from the demo. Lots of people made the same mistake with Saints Row.
If Crackdown didn't come with the beta I'd have still bought it at some point. Since it comes with the beta I'll buy it the day it's released.
I think what people are failing to realize is that IMO they are not including the beta for halo 3 on crackdown just to sell it, Remember that this is published my MS and the next game i can think of that is published by them Is forza 2 which is out in may and halo 3 is a MS game so in order to get the beta out as early as possible this was the best game to put it on to allow the most time with the beta out there for people to play. Now i do understand they didnt have to do it all as well but they did give 3 options. I mean come on fuzion frenzy is 50$ game and i doubt you will have as much fun playing that as you will crackdown especially online KurupSoldrFuzion Frenzy was AWESOME on the Xbox dude. The games were fun, and had variety, something Crackdown lacks. Crackdown is a huge game with nothing to do in it. No missions, just auto targeting enemies over and over and over and over and over. Or you can participate in the boring ass races.

This post has nothing to do with defending Crackdown, I just wanted to ask if you have played the Fusion Frenzy Demo. It was terrible, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about it. Variety isn't helpful when the game just plain sucks.
I'm talking the first one though. Haven't played the second one. SymphonicWaves
Oh well, I think the other guy was talking about the 2nd one, so I was just assuming you were, by referring to the first. I actually read an interview that explained why the beta is in Crackdown. Halo is going to be M rated, assuredly, so it wouldn't make sense to to throw an M rated beat in with an E game like Forza or Fusion Frenzy, even though they are also MS games, so that leaves you with Crackdown (and Bioshock, I believe, is MS published and assuredly will be M, but comes out too late).
I loved the Crackdown demo so I'm definitely buying it for Crackdown, not Halo 3 beta.Nick-42

you have to play it for a lot longer than 2 minutes to enjoy it. its not htat great if you jsut do the missions. you have to make it fun by taking advantage of how free form it is, and make your own fun. then it gets freakin awesome.[QUOTE="limpbizkit818"][QUOTE="smiley17O"][QUOTE="BonesNFG"]Do you really think crackdown is gonna be that bad?smiley17Oyeah. i laugh at the people who think thae game is better than saints row. i mean saints row has a single player portion and over 14 side missions or so. whats does crack down have. 1. take down gangs (the single player part) and 2. a racing side mission. thats pretty much it 2 things to do and 2 things you can do in co-op. i dont see why people want this game. its no worth a full priced game mabey 30 dollars but not 60

Oh yeah, your right. MS just bought the exlusive rights for 360/PC. Sorry about that. So then yeah, that leaves no M rated MS games coming out in the next few months. (Though I am sure that 2K games would have had no problem putting a huge selling game like halo with their game)
