It might not double the sales but tell me how many more people are gonna buy it because of the beta.  I bet a lot of people like myself that are iffy about buying crackdown, will change their minds because of the halo 3 beta.

Exactly

I played the demo for 2 minutes then deleted it immedietly. The irony is that it took more than an hour to download the demo and less than a few minutes to get rid of it. ;)

yeah. i laugh at the people who think thae game is better than saints row. i mean saints row has a single player portion and over 14 side missions or so. whats does crack down have. 1. take down gangs (the single player part) and 2. a racing side mission. thats pretty much it 2 things to do and 2 things you can do in co-op. i dont see why people want this game. its no worth a full priced game mabey 30 dollars but not 60

thats because crackdown is also based around leveling up your avatar in order to caus more mayhem, and do missions much easier.

Missions? There are no missions. It's run in, auto target, wash rinse, repeat.

I think Crackdown might be O.K. Don't judge the game from the demo. Lots of people made the same mistake with Saints Row.

If Crackdown didn't come with the beta I'd have still bought it at some point. Since it comes with the beta I'll buy it the day it's released.

I think what people are failing to realize is that IMO they are not including the beta for halo 3 on crackdown just to sell it, Remember that this is published my MS and the next game i can think of that is published by them Is forza 2 which is out in may and halo 3 is a MS game so in order to get the beta out as early as possible this was the best game to put it on to allow the most time with the beta out there for people to play. Now i do understand they didnt have to do it all as well but they did give 3 options. I mean come on fuzion frenzy is 50$ game and i doubt you will have as much fun playing that as you will crackdown especially online

Fuzion Frenzy was AWESOME on the Xbox dude. The games were fun, and had variety, something Crackdown lacks. Crackdown is a huge game with nothing to do in it. No missions, just auto targeting enemies over and over and over and over and over. Or you can participate in the boring ass races.

This post has nothing to do with defending Crackdown, I just wanted to ask if you have played the Fusion Frenzy Demo. It was terrible, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about it. Variety isn't helpful when the game just plain sucks.

Oh well, I think the other guy was talking about the 2nd one, so I was just assuming you were, by referring to the first. I actually read an interview that explained why the beta is in Crackdown. Halo is going to be M rated, assuredly, so it wouldn't make sense to to throw an M rated beat in with an E game like Forza or Fusion Frenzy, even though they are also MS games, so that leaves you with Crackdown (and Bioshock, I believe, is MS published and assuredly will be M, but comes out too late).

Me too. I like mindless fun. I thought the demo rocked. So what if all you do is kill gang bangers and king pins. The fact that I can pick up a semi and hurl it at pedestrians is enough for me to buy it. I thought the races were decent to, something a little different to do when your done shooting and flinging things around:D

A lot of people keep arguing the point that it lacks structure, and is rinse lather wash repeat...SO? Saint Row may have more side missions, but was it not rinse lather wash repeat?

you have to play it for a lot longer than 2 minutes to enjoy it. its not htat great if you jsut do the missions. you have to make it fun by taking advantage of how free form it is, and make your own fun. then it gets freakin awesome.

exactly...don't go bashing fuzion frenzy...that is one of the most fun games i've played in my life...its simple, so you don't get mad and frustrated like you do in halo or GOW, which is why its awesome...its games like Fuzion Frenzy and Geo Wars that make me addicted to my 360...i can come, mess around, and have complete fun in doing so

I thought the demo was pretty fun. I admit it was a bit repetitive, but I really liked the upgrade system. I didn't get much of a chance to collect the agility orbs (my time ran out), but I did get to max out my strength, and throwing trucks was pretty fun. On my next play through, I'll probably try to get the agility orbs and start jumping on some rooftops. I'm probably gonna buy the game, and part of it is because of the beta. I'm a pretty big Halo fan, and since the other two options didn't go so well with me, this is pretty much the only other chance I'll get. In my opinion, I think that the Halo beta is worth $30, and Crackdown is fun enough to be worth more than the other $30.

Oh yeah, your right. MS just bought the exlusive rights for 360/PC. Sorry about that. So then yeah, that leaves no M rated MS games coming out in the next few months. (Though I am sure that 2K games would have had no problem putting a huge selling game like halo with their game)
