Halo 3 Co-op give Achievement Points?

I'm playing co-op on the campaign mode in Halo 3 with my buddy on heroic difficulty. Will I still earn the achievement points for beating the game on heroic even though im playing on co-op? ( Note: Im not playing co-op online, I'm playing system co-op or whatever you call it) We also did not play the missions in order. Will that effect whether I get achievement points or not?

both players will get the points for beating it on heroic, and you will get the points for normal too, same thing will apply when you find a skull, but the player who didnt find it wont find it in their campaign settings.
