Halo 3 Free maps. When will it be free??

When do you think the Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack will be for free? I heard that it's suppose to be in spring, but until now I haven't heard anything regarding the exact day.

Any thoughts??

no i remember when the maps were first announced that would eventually be free, just like when they released maps in halo 2, they were first priced and a few months later became free.

here we go, it says on the Map pack FAQ on bungie.net:

A: In the US, the Heroic Map Pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points. Eventually, these maps will all be released for free, as they were with Halo 2.

well im never buying maps for an halo game ever b/c when i bought the last maps for halo2 for like $4 and then like two weeks later they were free.:evil:

if it was bungies choice, they would most certainly be free when they are first released. I'm not hating on Microsoft, but that's how it works.
