I stopped playing Halo 3 like an hour into it. I was enjoying it so much, but had never played the first two, so therefore had no clue what was going on story-line wisw...so I ran off and bought the first one and just beat it a couple days ago. Then yesterday I bought Halo 2 and am absolutely loving it.

I'm sure if I play any game to death it will get boring, so I can understand people pointing to the current flavour of the week...but regardless of what's newer and mabye better, that doesn't detract in any way from my enjoyment of Halo.

I mean, by all means, continue playing Halo if you really enjoy it. However, I believe that Halo can't even hold a candle to COD's far superior online component, let alone COD's single player campaign. After playing COD4 online, I have not played ANY OTHER GAME online (mostly due to the fact that many other games are dead now since COD is being played by everyone).

I find people here have a strange aversion to playing anything that's not on-line.

What did these people do with the nes or the snes or the genesis or the gameboy or the ps1 or the ps2 or the saturn or the dreamcast or any other console or any of the many amazing games that came with them?

Playing the single player campaign of a game is as enjoyable as it was twenty years ago. and that brings me to the equaly peculiar complaint I hear every so often here about a campaign's length. It is my opinion that anyone who complains about a game like say...Gears of War or Halo having a short campaign couldn't have possibly have played classics on the nes without any sort of save system. When you play Double Dragon for the nes and are required to beat it in one sitting due to a lack of any save system and that sitting is no more than an hour and a half...I'd say campaign length of most every game I play has been more than acceptable.

It's my opinion that a majority of kids have been spoiled with such a high level of quality in the games they play, that they don't even appreciate what they have. When I began hearing in November about how Halo 3 is old and talk and chatter about whatever is newer it makes me shake my head. Much like when I hear people here refer to Gears of War as "old". It's only a year old!

Call Of Duty 4 sucks, I bought it for christmas havent played it since new years day, and when I was playing it I thought it sucked big waste of $60 Halo on the other hand Im still playing till this day along with Shadowrun Halo + SR= :)

Well Gears isn't old in terms of how long it's been out, it's old on a gameplay level. The game is stale now... it has gotten very repetitive. It doesn't help that the single player campaign is extremely short.

Halo will eventually bore you. It happens with everyone. Then you'll end up playing Gears, Vegas, or Call of Duty again. Its a cycle.bulletproofcow

1. halo 3 requires more skill to kill, cod4 also requires skill, BUT its easier to kill in cod4....

2. halo 3 is similar to halo 2, which is a really good thing, but people who have played halo 2 to death were kinda dissapointed..but thats their problem, and not the games, if they play a game to death and then say its boring, then theyre just being ignorant...think abt it, if you do something for a while, youll eventually get bored, but if its fresh and new then youll love it..thats why everyone alwys praised halo 2...halo 1>halo 3>halo 2 in single player..but in multiplayer halo 3>halo 2...and halo 1 is completely differnt than both those games, and is as amazing too..

also , if so many people hate halo 3, why is halo 3 still the most played game on the xbox360.....and im not lying...go to majornelson.com and youll see the rankings of the most played games on xbox 360...halo 3 is first, gears second, cod4 third, and r6v fourth....

+700 match made games for me. +100 campaign matches for me. +100 Custom games for me. (most of my custom games and ampaign games are online). And as you can see I own Orange Box, Oblivion, Forza, Dead Rising, Vegas, GRAW, GeoW, Bioshock, and CoD2 (getting CoD4 soon)... Halo 3, for me, is much better than all those games together...

If read correctly in the Bungie forums the avarage Halo player has 1.1 K/D spread.

lol just goes to show that people are hating on halo 3 just because they suck at it. I think halo 3 is better than cod4, but I play both because I enjoy their differences.

Besides Halo 3 is a great game, much better then Gears (I presonally didn't like that game online) but thats just my opinion. Maybe I like Halo 3 because I never played 1 or 2. I don't understand why people say this game is old and boring, even though its the most played game on XBL, maybe people played 100+ hours then complain about how the game is old....

I played the first two Halos and playing Halo 3 is not much of a different experience. Sure there are some enhancements but i doesn't change the fact that H3 is NOT the best game for the 360.

The REAL best game? I think it depends on individual player's preferences.
