Now that's something that wasnt neccessary to say.

Sure... have your dumbass friend knock over your PS3 while you are playing. Go ahead, I'll be waiting...
Seriously, what a **** stupid thing to say. That is bar none the worst reason for liking one system more than another...

Um...either system would do it if you knocked it over. They are both disc based with a laser housing and disk spindle. The worst part is that your laser head is now misaligned and will do that to all your games. You'd better call Microsoft.
"okay.. knock over your ps3 with a game in it and we'll see what happens to your 500$ movie machine
oh wait a game in a ps3, thats a rarity"
Actually i own both systems, and love them both equally, and hav, sadly, knocked them both over with games in play.
GRAW1 for my 360 got totaled, pretty much the WORST sound i have heard from a consul, it sounded like it was eating my disc.
Knocked over my PS3 last week with Folklore inside, i herd a tick sound for about 2 seconds, nowhere near the disc munching sound of the 360, plus Folklore was fine, and played just as well as before the knockdown.
this happend to my oblivion disc, get really fine cloth that cleans glass lenses, apply some pressure and buff it out
lets restore some order here please before the mods jump on this. When your mate knocked over your 360 the disc has rubbed against the laser housing. you can see from the pic here from llama.com.
Now the 360's drive doesnt have the little pads that stop the disc doing this.
The only drive that provides these little pads is the Tompson drive.
