Would it be possible to get my Halo 360 pretending like I didn't know about the rating? Like say I would just go into a store and say i'm here to pick it up and then walk out?--MAV3R1CK--no, they check IDs on any one who even looks near the age 17.
edit: that is, if it gets flagged like the headset did.

If it does get flagged, i'll be really mad about it.....this happened to me too, but with the 360, i had to be 18 justto buy a core 360! they were like "you have to be 18 or have a parent with you to buy a console dude." - EBgames employeelordking65wow that is full of bull :|
that's hillarious - i'm sorry, but what do you expect from people making 7.50 an hour. m rating on a headset lol. and then to question someone about who they are buying it for?!?! rofl. it's not a pack of smokes. they mise well make every single parent sign a waiver this holiday season that the gaming system and games they are buying will not be used by minors.
seriously, that needs to be fought - it's content that's M rated, not hardware - what a crock.
Yeah I still ended up getting the headset. They shouldn't have made a big deal about it i'm 16 and look older than 18, lol. I bought the controllers off of ebay to avoid this problem and also no one here has them yet, but when I go to pick up the console my mom is definately coming with me.
He's annoyed because it's ****ing stupid. He wasn't trying to buy a game or strategy guide, it was a ****ing headset! There is nothing violent/sexual about the headset so there is no reason for it to be restricted. Hell I bought a Halo 3 faceplate (that was much more coloful and detailed) and the previous Halo 2 headset and I didn't have to show ID.
So, I called up my local GameStop yesterday and asked if the HALO 3 headsets had arrived and to my surprise they said yes and had four in stock. About two hours later I went in to pick it up with a few friends and they said "I'm sorry, we can't sell you the headset because it is rated M and you need to be older than 17 to buy it. So after a bit of arguing I ask if the guy behind me in line can buy it for me and they replied with "No, that's illegal and I don't want to lose my job." 15 minutes later I found some lady to go buy it for me and they started questioning her about who she was buying it far. Does anyone if it will be like this for the controllers and console? MJ0LNIR_SPARTAN
ahahaha dude thats so funny, GameStop is just like that. Like when i was pre-ordering Halo 3 earlier this morning my dad was standing right behind me and the guys like all freaking out how its M rated... but that is too funny man omfg.

yes but tell me what happens to that employee if he gets caught selling an M rated product to a minor is itreally worth getting fired for
linktyler2010someone in that thread makes a great point... its not like youll get carded for the doritos, gamefuel, and all the other halo licensed stuff...
LoL what does this microphone do... transform all speech into swear words?
You guys have it rough in the states if your a minor. I'm from Canada and I've been able to buy M rated games since Duke Nukem 3d back whenI was 10. At least in Quebec anyways, my cousin from Ontario says they are pretty strict too. Long live quebec.

I still would if it were me becausethat's just stupid. This is the first time I've ever heard of an accessory being rated period. And like wolverine said you don't get carded for purchasing any other Halo licenced stuff.

If a company would fire me for selling "M" rated accesories they could take the job and shove it.
