halo 3 melee and pistol

i was so pissed when they didnt return the zoom to the pistol in halo 3..the pistol is so weak now, cos most of the rapid fire weapons determine whose going to win..also what is wrong with the melee system?..i keep hearing complainst nad have experienced problems too , but i dont know whats wrong..Iron_Re4

i am a veteran halo 1 player, barely played halo 2 online..and i used the pistol all the time in halo 1pc online...cos it owned back then..but i guess now its really underpowered...

Guys halo 3 is a great game! i'm not a fan boy it's just that poeple wanted way to much out of it.

Sometimes the melee lags and u die insteed of your enemy. But it only happens lke 3 out of 10 times tho.

wow i hope you know it only takes 3 headshots w/ a pistole to kill somone..... and the melee animation lag has been adressed and they are currently trying to find a solution.wreak

were you telling me this.?...but to correct your earlier statement its 3 shots (2 to the body, and 1 to the head) not all 3 headshots to kill someone with the pistol in halo 1, i dont know about halo 3..im hopinh its the same...but i havent lived long enough in a game with only a pistol to test it out...always get double teamed or somthing, whihc i hate....

dude stop whining..if you dont like halo 3 then keep it to yourself..i personally like halo 1 over 3 even for multiplayer..but im not ocmplaning, i love halo 3too, halo 3 was defintly not the biggest disappointment of the year..that was assassins creed...its an excellent game, that has been depopularized by people that are casual gamers and dont understand what true gaming really is...bungie also made halo 2 and 3 more accesable to the casual gamer, and thus those games cant touch halo 1, but r still good, with a few flaws here and there..if you want realistic gameplay, then go play cod4, halo 3 is a scifi fps, and thats why you wont find body parts flying around here and there after a nade, its cos its a sci fi game so stop whining....the sotry in halo 1 was the best, but it got cofusing in 2, and then improved in 3...its an amazin story nonetheless......if you pay close attention to cutscenes and use some of your common sense then youll actually understand the story, but it seems your too lazy....

The only way to get kills with it is to double it and run in then melee.DEWMAN08

Halo 3 was a disappointment alot of people were going out to buy a 360 JUST FOR HALO 3! why waste 600$ plus another 60$ just for a dissapointment like Halo 3 Bungie sucked at making Halo 3 all they cared about was the money $$$ Halo 3 on opening day made over thirty million dollars on the realease date I was honestly depressed afterI beat the campaing Halo 3 isn't even fun online if Bungie releases Halo 4 no one will hop out of their chairs and pre order it it just SUCKED!Risenfromhell

I just want to say I regret clicking on this thread. Even if one person tries to make sensible conversation, there's always this idiot who's played 400 online matches and can't stand the game anymore who makes a good effort to tell everyone how much he or she hates the game. That was a long sentence. :)

Anyways, I find the pistol very efficient, especially when the enemy underestimates its capability. Shoot three times in the head or a few times anywhere + a good bash to the head. Plus, a pistol is generally a last resort, and a battle rifle should be 100 times more effective in combat. In Halo 1, you could own the enemy with your pistol from across the map, and that's just not believable. (notice how I didn't use the word realistic, because it doesn't apply in Halo)

Did you ever stop and use your head for a few seconds? Has it never occurred to you that you don't like games in general? Or maybe you don't like shooters? Or even Halo in general? Perhaps you DECIDED to hate Halo 3 before you played it, or you DECIDED to hate it after losing 4 matches in a row? A game, or anything at all doesn't "suck" just because you THINK it does.
