This doesn't make it more popular. The statistics released at the end of every week are based on UU's (Unique Users) for each game ... so just because Halo 3 currently has more people online, it doesn't make it more popular. What it does mean is that the same ~250,000 people play Halo 3 for the whole week (a very dedicated set of folk), while CoD4 gets tons more people throughout.

Halo 3 is better but COD4 is no pushover.

Halo 3 feels more like a generic straight up shooting game. not much of game mode available. on the other hand, COD4 have Team Deathmatch, Domination,Headquaters and so much more._RA0_

I see COD4 and Halo 3 as two different types of shooters. Halo 3 is not as serious, it's a fun party game, perfect for playing with friends (locally and over online). COD4 is more of a tactical shooter, more serious, and different gameplay (different level structure, guns, etc..). I love Halo 3, but i played COD4 recently, loved it, and am planning to buy it next week :D

well, when i play halo 3 i find myself usually running at the enemy, unless i has a gun like the sniper or have low shield. In COD4, you have less health and you die quicker causing you to be a bit more cautious.

And i think MLG is dumb (my opinion, it just doesn't appeal to me)

I have both, I have finished Halo 3. It was a good game. Almost great. The multiplayer was a bit of fun, added around another 5-10 hours of gameplay for me. I have finished CoD4 4 times on all of the difficulties. Superb game. Most definetly the best (Or second best FPS) I have ever played. I have played the multiplayer for 5 days and 6 hours (Non-stop, according to my stats) and I am not at all bored with it at all.

But whatever, if you want to validate your excitement over the game by bringing up some meaningless statistics, then fine, do it till your heart is content.

wow he just told you big time. nice one Aerosmith. To add to what Aero said, the reason WHY you say that you have to work harder in halo 3 is because there's no way to gain XP if you lose. I find this unfair for those team members of the losing team who did amazingly well but lost due to a not-so-good player with alot of deaths. I find myself trying to kill FOR my team because they just got the game or are being jerks. This is where CoD4 shines. whether you win or lose, you are rewarded with XP depending how much effort you put into the match.
