Halo 3 Mutilplayer Map Pack 800 MS points?!?!?!?!

The split from microsoft and bungie is suppose to give us free map packs....none of this 800 points BS!

halo 3 is a good game but i'm not going to pay for 3 new maps and why wait until Spring 2008 to make them free....

why make them free at all if they are going to charge in the first place???? do I get a refund in Spring 2008 if I buy them now?

Makes no differnce how much they cost. They can very well put 3 maps for 1200+ pts and Halo 3 fanboys would jump all over it. The fact that this type of price gouging is going on with a sub-par multiplayer game is an outrage.

$10 may not be much. Thats just to much for 3 maps. Think about it, Xbox Originals will be sold for 5 bucks more and you get a whole friggin game. It would be better if it had at least 5 maps for that price.

I love Halo 3 and think it is a great game, but no way in hell am I paying 800 MSP for 3 damn maps, I'll wait til Spring if I have to. Thats 1/6th of the original price of the game, I payed 60 damn euros for this game and I don't think I should have to pay for any more.xTheExploited

Bungie intenentionally held back these maps inorder to charge more money for their game.

Epic gave its fans 2 amazing maps for Gears of War for FREE after the game came out. As a thank you for being a fan.

i am not a lot of people play it....i tried saturday (i didn't realy play online when i got my 360 in august)

$10 for 3 new maps...seems cheap but i don't think i'll be buying it till its free.

The first 2 gears maps were free because they were sponsored. I think it was the Discovery channel. They charged for the other gears maps. Every other company is charging for maps too. At least with microsoft they eventually become free. They still charge for Call of Duty 2and 3 maps. It's not just Xbox 360 either. Sony is charging for Resistance maps too.

Just because you don't like Halo 3 doesn't mean it sucks. I really hate country music but that doesn't mean I think it sucks or that themusicians aren't any good. I personally love Halo, the orange box, and call of duty 4. They're all very different though. So lets spend less time complaining about the games we don't like and spend more time playing the ones we do.

Or D... They realize that these maps won't be included in Matchmaking until they become free and everyone can get them (just like the DL maps in Halo 2)

Or in my case E....Was dissapointed that Halo 3 was more like Halo 2.5 and has since found better MP games (COD 4) and no longer plans on playing H3 ever again.

Oh and I live on my own, like Microsoft (most of the time ;) )and $10 is pocket change to me (hell I'm spending over $200 this week on Rock Band and Mass Effect), so you fail.

The split between Bungie and Microsoft changed nothing for this ordeal. Bungie still developed it and Microsoft still published in which mean that Bungie probably wanted the packs to be free, but Microsoft doesn't (like Gears and probably Halo 2... i don't know exactly if Halo 2 was for the same reason).

It isn't like Bungie leaving made it so Microsoft wasn't the publisher....... Even still Bungie gets creative freedome and the choice of porting their games, but they are still making games primarily for the 360 or PC.

No one ever complained about the Halo 2 maps, so why freaking complain now? Why must "gamespotters" always nag about everything that you have to pay for. I, for one, will pay for them because I enjoy playing Halo 3.

Technically speaking, I'm not going to be paying for it because my microsoft points come from websites that pay me to join other websites so yay for me. :D

If I knew how to start a petition and knew that it would have some effect on the situation trust me i'd be the first to jump at it........first off i would start with Make Xbox Live Free

HALO isn't the only game that has map packs that are charged for, so don't put all the hate on Halo. CoD3 had map packs that you had to pay for. GeOW did too. And guess what? More than likely, CoD4 will to. They also fixed your console for FREE those 2 times. What did Sony do when the PS2's started up with the disc read error? Nothing, that's what... I haven't had my console rbeak on me yet...

I think we all understand how business works, especially when it's as simple as Microsoft making a ton of money off this. But I'm not the CEO of Microsoft, nor am I a shareholder. I am however, the consumer. Microsoft charging money for these maps does not benefit me (consumer), whether or not I understand how business works.

No, $10 isn't a lot. But I don't want to spend $10 on 3 maps for a game I paid $80 for. And to the ignorant people that call us cheap, I think we have better things to spend $10 on and are not that obsessed with Halo 3.
