Halo 3 noob help, plz be kind lol

Ok, so I decided to see what ALLLLLL the hype was about, so I buckled and purchased/played my very first Halo game. I realize 3 was prolly not the one to start with. Oh well. I really really suck, and it makes me not wanna play it. Are they any tried and true tactics somebody can lend a helping hand with? Or maybe wanna play on live? Also even in the single player campaign I tried playing one notch up from medium and it's really hard! I just don't know what I could be doing wrong.

Throw plasma grenades to weaken opponents then shoot.. uhh crouch to appear off radar.

Just keep practising, online play social at first and make your way up to ranked later.

Here are my suggestions.

- Practice.

- Learn how the weapons work, how to use them, and where their at.

- Learn the surroundings of the maps, weapon placements, etc.

- Make strategies or Learn strategies from others on how to win (Google Halo Skills and strategies or something).

- If you're a newbie or just want to play for fun, play Social Playlists. Ranked is all serious business.

Play social slayer online, I find it the most fun, since the people there aren't hardcore, but they're still challenging to play with. I tried ranked solo matches and it was not fun.

When playing against other people, try to aim at people's heads. I was stupidly shooting people in the chest when I first started playing and always dying 1 on 1. Aim up a little bit and their health drops a lot faster :)

I am a verrrry good Halo 3 player, and to be honest the best advice is to play very conservatively. I might die 4 or 5 times a game, and that's because I never try to catch myself in bad situations. Don't be the teammate who runs in and dies 15-20 times and loses it for everyone. I can't stand that! Be conservative, and master your grenades. The rest will come....

lol i got halo 3 for mas last year. ive played it on beginner all the way thru, dying multiple times. i have like 25g from it lol. i don't play it ever anymore. I tried online multiplayer. thats when I bought another game lol. that was my first halo game too.

i didnt like halo that much, the storyline seemed really confusing, probably cuz i didnt play the first 2.

so no, i dont have any strategies, but i'm sure if you google it or something, theres someone, somewhere with an entire webpage on halo 3 strategies

TC... learn to use grenades along with shooting. a lot of newbs love using the assault rifle...even from long distance, lol

you need to get accustomed to the Battle rifle and carbine asap

Very simple DON't play halo it's just a silly game.

If you just started out rush people with the assault rifle then bash them when you get close, you will probably lose your sheilds but you are most likely going to get the kill,

also learn how to use the br and get headshots with it because you will regret not being able to use it later

Dont give up. Its gets very fun. You just need to get the hang of it and take all the tips into consideration. If you wanna see how the pro's are so good just watch one montage and you will learn alot.
