No one here has played either of them. Wait til they come out, then read some reviews to make your decision. You have like 5 months anyway..
Probably ODST, at least Bungie is doing something different with it's campaign: Making it have open world environments which Bungie states that it will have replay value as it's non linear from what I read, go back to no health regeneration and have to find health packs, which should increase the challenge, an extra mode called Firefight that reminds me of Gears of War 2's Horde mode which will have lots of replay value and will probably be longer than MW2.
Modern Warfare 2 looks exactly like COD4, only a little better graphics wise, and if it's just like COD4, I'll wait for the price to go down, the campaign was too short(shorter than Halo 3), it wasn't as hard as the 1st 2 CODs on Veteran, and I didn't get into COD 4's multiplayer. Call of Duty hasn't been THAT great since COD 2 sadly.
@mitu123 I somehow remember you posting this yesterday :P but yeah it goes well with this.gow117I sure did, LOL, I wanted to get my point across. They need to improve the length and difficulty of the campaign and a better multiplayer for me to love Modern Warfare 2.

Better graphics wont help thats for sure, but so far from what ive saw(the snowy mission) its looking good and diversed. the mp really needs new stuff otherwise it would be cod4 v.1.5
If you already have Halo 3, this is basically what your getting when you buy ODST. An 6-8 hour campaign, firefight mode, Halo 3 Reach Beta, and extra multiplayer maps. However if you don't own Halo 3, then you pretty much get the same multiplayer content with all map packs that came with Halo 3.
Modern Warfare is a full sequel however.
hey guys i have been wondering if i should get ODST or modern warfare 2? I know ODST will have the same matchmaking as Halo 3 but it does have fire fight and a new campaing and co-op. it will be amazing. but modern warfare 2 will have a diferent online with new weapons and perks and an amazing campaing... i only want top buy one but i might have to buy both... plz help me decide which one i should get... Thanks...Spinal OctaneSpinalOctanebased on pure speculation on which will be better, go for MW2
[QUOTE="mattg90520"]my vote goes to modern warfare 2, mostly due to the fact that im in no way a halo fandeadly_shurikenNo wonder why your such a loser....one of those little kids that think theyre tough just because they play COD and bash on Halo all day LOL no one cares about your dumb opinion, get a life
What's wrong with you? He just said he's not a Halo fan, in no way did he bash it. No one thinks they're tough for playing COD, so just shut up troll.
Funny, Bungie calls it a full game now and it's campaign is different from previous Halo games(wide open environments, stealth, different playable character, etc.) with a new multiplayer mode, if anything, Modern Warfare 2 is more of an expansion pack campaign wise.Im going to go with Modern Warfare 2. I can't spend $60 on an expansion pack.
Childeater10
You know first MW get a 9 from GS it deserve it just for multy player
But in single player MW was something like 5
I was JUST about to ask this same question
Why one or the other? Just get both. I know I am. Did you know that I own both Halo 3 and COD 4? Yup it's true. They can co-exist on the same shelf. And gasp, I like both games.DJ_Magneto
BLASPHEMY! lol

[QUOTE="Oakfront"]DLC? A open world campaign with different gameplay and a new multiplayer mode along with new maps is DLC, I thought DLC couldn't be on a disc.MW2 of course. I don't get why so many people are going to buy a $60 DLC.
mitu123
Exactly. ODST is MUCH more than just a $60 expansion. So what if it has the "same" multiplayer. Cod4 and MW2 in a way have the same multiplayer with a FEW upgrades and changes. Same Engine.
I'll be getting Halo: ODST. I missed out on Halo 3 so I'll give the franchise a try. I'm on the minority of people who's not into COD but maybe because of too much gears 2. lol
