halo 3 ODST,,, read

I want to buy ODST but what is different about it. Should I buy Halo 3 and than ODST. I previously bought and beat the halo 3 campaign but i want to buy ODST. For the multiplayer, is my STATS from Halo 3 gonna transfer to ODST? thanks alot!

i also want to know if my rankings and stuff goining to transfer

If you haven't played in awhile you're going to find your rank reset. It happened after they added some of the map packs.

I think if you care about campaign you should get Halo 3, if not just ODST.

Yes they did.

It still shows the previous rank you achieved, but it started you back from square one.

If you had played Halo 3 for any length of time you would know that they decided to add individual ranks to each playlist, instead of having your OVERALL rank apply to every single one. This made the system much more fair, but it also reset everything.

Moral of the story: Don't question somebody if you have absolutely no idea what they're talking about to begin with.

...well seeing as ive played more matches than you i might know. Yes they added individual playlist ranks, but i dont recall them resetting your overall rankchaoscougar1

So you don't call resetting your playlist skills and your current rank anything? While resetting the skills was fair, erasing your current RANK wasn't.

I'm backing ChaosCougar on this one. There's a big difference between "reset" and what actually happened. I was a level 30 something Captain in team doubles. after Bungie did the rank system "revamp", I was STILL a level 30 something Captain, it's just that the TrueSkill rank (the numerical) and the military exp related rank (Captain) were seperate, were as before if I had dipped below 30, I would have been demoted to Lieutenant or something.

oh, and on topic. TC, your online ranks and armor kit setup all transfer over, since the online for Halo 3 and ODST is the same (aside from the fact that ODST comes with all map packs unlocked).

They didn't reset your main rank they just added indvidual ranks for each gametype.
