well they are pretty close but halo is like the best series ever. this is kind of off topic but i heard that in 08 there will be gears of war 2 then the year after a new halo and they will keep it in that order
I love gears of war and its gameplay kills halo's in my book but im still waitin for halo 3 to come out cuz i no its gonna be sick and i still play halo 2 evry now and then
i think halo 3 will wreck the living hell out of gears of war, the online on h3 wont have lag... just like the second one didnt. Gears has crappy online play because of the host advantage, halo3 will pwn it so bad
Well since Halo 3 isn't even out yet and won't be out for a good while, i think there is no possible way to answer this. This topic should be called "the hype of Halo 3 or Gears of War". That is what Halo 3 is just now, hype. Once the game is released, then you can decide which one is better based on facts but now, it is pointless to even try.
What a bizarre question. To answer it directly, Gears 'probably' pisses all over Halo3 right now, since H3 is not even finished. However, if you like shooting games and don't buy both, then there must be something wrong with you. Gears is a GREAT game, and Halo 3 will no doubt be excellent, but it has a job on it's hands topping 9.6 (Gears review score).
Both are completely diffrent, aside from being sci-fi shooters. If I had to go with a third person shooter, i'd go with Gears.If it was first person, i'd go with Halo 3.
I'll just say this, aside from more balanced weapons, and a new grenade, how many new gameplay features will there be in halo 3 i mean, they r going to be implementing the same type of gameplay, so i think if u like Gears more than Halo 2, you will like Gears more than Halo 3 thats just my opinion, but both games are great

Thats been my point for months and months now. Everyone knows that the gameplay is going to be exactly the same. And people are gonna whine and complain that their adding all this stuff.....well guess what people, all the stuff being added.....those are features......not gameplay.......they wont change the gameplay for one reason.......ALL HALO FANBOYS LOVE HALO GAMEPLAY, if they change it there would be an uprising of pissed off 4th graders, then they would all drop out of school, and then Bungie would be responsible for the failure of generations......I cant wait for Halo 3 to launch......then there wont be sooooo many little kids playin Gears.......We've all played Halo 3 already......its called Halo 2......just with lesser graphics....:roll:
