yep n they both went gold so those dates are confirmed
Yeah Halo3's going to suck. Burnout and Mercenaries ftw.. :(2 be honest? neither , HS is way to repetetive and boring after a while (from reviews)
and halo 3 is way over-rated.. wait for something else like mass effect ,mercenaries 2 , burnout paradise..

i hope halo 3 isn't just shooting and that's it. i found the original halo lacked a bit of depth due to a lack puzzles. i'm not saying halo 3 should stray from what it's known for, but just add a few things to make u think a little and encourage exploration, kinda like metroid prime does. i feel the same way about gears of war. nick_spot
Same here man, my GeoW is collecting dust. And the same goes for Halo 1. They're way too overrated.

one thing adventure gamesand some shooters do is have a main hub area where the levels are accessed via doors or gateways. ur free to explore the hub, but doors to later levels can only be accessed using items gained from earlier levels, and littered throughout the hub and little secrets and puzzles just to add an extra dimension to the game. if an idea like thisis implemented in halo 3, the boringness of typical level-after-level gameplay is gone and replaced with a whole world u can immerse yourself in and feel like ur part of. i have to say, nintendo and rareware are the best at implementing these kinds of ideas in their games, andalthough it's more common with kiddishgames, if a smart developer can translate it properly into something more 'adult' like a halo game, it would be the stuff that gets straight 9.5s and higherin gamespot reviews. it's a something i feel halo and gow can really benefit from.

just because you dont like them..that doesnt make the games "overrated"
Heavenly sword= hack n' slash, no multiplayer element, its a 3rd person!!! next gen God of War wannabe, the chick its hot but it cannot be more gory/brutal than the God of War guy.
Halo 3= mind blowing campaign, 4 player coop campaign online, best online game ever!!!!, match replay , spartan/brute/covenant customization, file sharing, map editor, downloable content and more...its Bungie and they rock!!!
Mass Effect looks like a contender to GOTY, but about Lair got a 4.5 think about it if were you instead of Lair i get Oblivion, Bioshock, Rainbow Six Vegas or even Gears of war, and Halo 3 its my final answer.
