Halo 3? Over-rated hype or GOTY

Look, i want to settle this once and for all so my freinds will stop bagging Halo 3 (only cos they've got PS3's) so...

IS HALO 3 ALL IT IS CRACKED UP TO BE?

or is it all just a load of overated hype?

I know Halo 3's been out for a while and i've been playing it for ages but i need to know

well it's not GOTY since bioshock won that award tonight :)

anyways, it shouldn't be praised as #1 game ever, but it's very fun and enoyable most of the time.

Its GOTY material alongside with COD4 and bioshock just sucks in my opinion

well it's not GOTY since bioshock won that award tonight :)

anyways, it shouldn't be praised as #1 game ever, but it's very fun and enoyable most of the time.

It's over hyped, but, not *horrible*, it's not Soldier Of Fortune bad...

I don't like it myself...but...I admit it's not awful.

and yeah Its not the greatest game ever but its good and enjoyable. kinda slowpased though

I havent played Halo 3, but when I think about the 360, and the possibility of buying a game, Halo 3 is in the top 3. So you're saying that is just hype? And that I'd be better of buying something else? Im getting my 360 at the end of this year.

Get Halo 3.......its very fun........its definately not GOTY because so many great games came out that do better than it but its definately a very good game.

Halo 3 is a great game but it's not GOTY for me. I also think that COD4 MP is better than Halo's. Mass Effect or SMG would probably be GOTY to me.

considering it is not even the best shooter this year that would be cod4 i would say it is overrated and not GOTY material

It's ok. I would never call it a "great" game, but obviously I'm in the minority about that. I dont think I'm in the minority about considering it overrated, it's a good game, just overrated. (My opinion)
