Halo 3 save corruption?

I went to start up my saved campaign in Halo 3 and it wouldn't load up. It kept going back to the menu screen. What gives?

Yeah...has happened to me multiple times....total garbage don't know why maybe they can fix it with a patch and the melee bs too
