Halo 3 vs Gears of war 2 Single Player, not multiplayer

What do you think what's better, Gears of war 2 single player or Halo 3's Single player. I honestly think their all awesome, but if i have to choose one, i have to pick Gears of war 2's single player since it's more enjoyable then Halo 3's single player, but i still love Halo 3's single player. Feel free to pick if you want to.

I really can't say, because Halo 3 had a really big effect on me. I started playing Halo 3 with Halo 2 still in my mind, so when I was finished, I really thought that it was better than 2, and just blowed it out of the water. As for Gears, since it was a sequel to a game I wasn't really disappointed in, I wasn't expecting it to be as much of a good game as I did with Halo 3. But, I kinda found Gears 2 to be the same experience (first time through playing) as the first one.

So, I'd guess in terms of expectation: Halo 3, but with overall, Gears 2 by just a small amount.

Gears of War 2 had a great campaign, however there were some parts where I couldn't help hold back a "WHAT THE **** THIS IS BULL"

It's crazy because I never lose my temper in games, but this game annoyed me so much at parts. I was playing on Hardcore, and some parts of the game like near the end where you have to shoot down reavers with a turret were the worst gaming experiences I've ever had lol

Had to retry that part like 20 times to finally get it

Also I hate how I'd spend 12 minutes clearing out a courtyard with tons of enemies, only to die in one hit from something like a boomshot >_< Then retry it (and since you're inclined to rush it the next go) fail twice more just to get past it. However Gears did have kickass levels like the worm, the bosses were really cool too

Old and wise, im not saying gears is war and peace I just thought it was more intresting then the single player campaign in Halo ...

Gears 2 for me, I just finished Halo 3 for the 2nd time on Legendary and I think I just enjoyed Gears 2 more because I prefer the weapons and being able to go nuts with the sniper rifle for quite a few levels. Speaking of which I think it's time to play Gears 2 again.

Gears smashes Halo in every aspect of SP. Gameplay, Story, Graphics, excitment. If you have played the first level of Halo 3, it is the same as every other level that isn't a vehicle.

loved both experiences but I enjoyed Halo 3 more and still replay HALO 3 campaign. I enjoyed the vehicles, open battles, weapons and co=op play more in HALO.

halo... its got a story unlike gears.

halo 3's single player was really boring, but fun with friends. the poor story kills it tho

gears of war 2 was fun, regardless. fun bosses, pretty good story, nice and varied levels

Gears of War 2. I would pick Halo 3, but I hated Mission 8 so bad, it's not that much fun.

Most definitely Halo 3 for me, I thought Gears of War 2 overall was a weak game, especially the campaign, and definitely inferior to Gears of War 1.

I would say Halo 3 because i enjoyed it a lot. I have not gotten into Gears yet but i have played both campaigns slightly. I really should beat both of them tomorrow.

Halo 3's was utterly dissapointing.GoW2's was mediocre.But I'd go with Gears of War 2.

Although I think Halo 3 single player was good, espcially 4-player co-op (if that counts), Gears campaign has more memorable scenes.
