Halo 3 vs Reach Graphics comparison

This is quite amazing to watch. There is very little difference in some instances.

What theres very little difference? Since i got my 28 inch full 1080p hd tv halo 3 has looked very terrible compared to all the other games i have tried on it... (Modern Warfare 2, Bayonetta, resident evil 5, world at war) its just unplayable for me now.

28"? You have got to be kidding me, that tv is too small to make those observations.

Halo Reach blows Halo 3's graphics out the water.

If you take out the environment effects Reach doesn't look that much better. I mean they wouldn't make a comparison video if they didn't think the same

Reach looks gorgeous.

Sure, if you go into the deepest technical details, it's probably not the best. What's important is that it's pleasing to the eye.

Never listen to developers talk about stuff like this. Most of the time its just marketing BS. Listen to guerilla talk about Killzone and Crytek talk about Crysis.

I think Zophar was talking about the comparison between Reach and Halo which were both made by Bungie. The others you talked compare themselves with everything on the market which by nature, would sound arrogant.

I honestly don't see a big difference at all. Yes reach has the edgebut it's a smallone. As a matter of fact one could argue that in some instances Halo 3 looks a bit more pleasing. I still think that till this day that Halo 3 is one of the best looking games out there. At some point in time it just became the cool thing to do to bash Halo 3 graphics when in fact the game looks great.

Reach just looks a lot more polished than Halo 3. It's hard to explain. You really have to play and experience it yourself.

No one said Halo 3 was phenomenal-looking. Actually, the complaints were - Jaggies, lack of 720p HD, and the list goes on. I haven't come across one person that said Halo 3 looks amazing in the graphics department.

You are lucky believe me. I have come acrosss some very arrogant Halo fanboys that still thinks nothing can touch Halo 3. But i'm glad there are some of you out there with brains

yeah theres a very noticeable difference in the graphics, most noticeable to me is what seems to be very much improved lighting.

I find the difference to be quite large, not even worth the time to do a comparison really as I thought the visual upgrades were quite obvious

yup, reach looks HEAPS better, but still its nothing compared to Resident evil 5, or KZ2. but then again how many awesome games has bungie made in the same time it took Guerilla to develop ONE game......prefer bungie any day ;) KZ2 had AWESOME character rendering and great use of effects, but up close just like MGS4 the textures are dirty.

THe Halo games alway had a style that made it stand out from other FPS. In Reach, they push the art style even farther.

wow, i gotta say that video didnt do justice...i honestly didnt see a huge difference from that comparison, but i know the game looks MUCH better than Halo 3.

I'll admit that Reach's graphics aren't wuite as great as I expected, but they're certainly head and shoulders above Halo 3's.
