WHOA NOW. You say there is a hint that says that only 3 spartans will be left????????

I have read all the halo books and played both games. That is wrong.

ALL the Spartans are either dead or are now inside the "Shield". If anybody doesn't know what the "Shield" is, read the Ghosts of Onyx novel. John is the only spartan outside the shield and I doubt Halo 3 will involve the Shield in the Halo 3 storyline. If it does, that will be AMAZING.

SPOILER WARNING... If you havn't read "The Ghosts Of Onyx" yet, I suggest you not read this post

What the hell are you talking about!?  I just got done reading all the books again, and 'Onyx' just the other day!  In the book, towards the begining, there is mention of a missing "Grey Team", a team of 5 just like all others, so its perfectly possible that they can survive... Your right though, they probably wont make mention of anything from the books, as most people havn't read them.  But what I think is, that they will show the Shield, they will just have to reexplain it to the audiance (For those who are illiterate, and havn't read the 4 books!)  You know that teaser trailer that was first showed over 10 months ago?  I think that structure opening up is the place where there is another crystal that warps "Slipstream" like mentioned in 'Reach'.  And if thats the case, maybe it isn't just for warping in slipstream, MAYBE its a key to open, the now closed, Shield world.  It could happen... The structure looks to me what they describe in the book.  I don't know for sure, but it seems entirely possible to me.
