I am very pleased with where the game is at this point. The beta hasnt been nearly as buggy as I thought it would be. Ill list my pros and cons so far......
Pros..
Graphics look the next gen part. Textures and lighting are vastly improved over Halo 2.
The new vehicles, gadgets and weapons are awesome additions. I love the Spiker SMG's, Sparten Laser and the new version of the Assault Rifle is definitely the best default weapon to have. Although I wish it still had the 60 round clip from Halo 1 but oh well.
The classic Halo gameplay is still very much intact. For better or worse, I just dont see a reason to revamp or fix something that isnt broken. Although I have to say that it still takes too long to put somebody down in Halo 3 unless you are a headshot master. Ive been face to face with guys and put a whole clip into them with the AR and they still somehow manage to not only stay alive, but kill me. Hmmm....
It appears that Bungie will once again bless us with some awesome maps to frag on come September. Valhalla in Particular has that classic Blood Gulch/Coagulation feel to it!
Cons....
Im still not a fan of the Matchmaking system that Bungie has in place here. I prefer to just join rooms based on gametypes or to simply just make my own room, wait for it to fill up and go..ala Gears or R6 vegas.
Halo needs a run/sprint move even if for only a short burst.
