if anything i dont know why but i have a feeling that bungie or microsoft (or even both) will work on little episodes like Valve did with half-life two...but then again i am most likely wrong
I sure hope not. The first three are definitely hard to beat. Bungie should make a new franchise, now THAT would be something.

Even though if you beat Halo 3 on Legendary, after the credits and at the end of the cutscene with Master Chief going into hypersleep they show the ship blasting towards a planet. But that's only to satisfy angry gamers who didn't like the ending, a nice little cliffhanger for their troubles.
thats a great idea. i would buy that game the moment it came out as long as its not like any halo ofcourse. it would just be interesting to see what else they could do.

i don't think it will be called halo though, and i don't think it will be bungies next game. i'm sure they are eager to work on a new IP, or re-visit an old one.
Apparently, Microsoft gave some "rights" over to gearbox. They have stated that they are working on the biggest project in the history of their company. Anyways, theyve allready stated that its not BIA, or any other one of their own games, but a game thats already been made famous by another developer. Could it be Halo 4?
There'll be something more besides just Halo Wars. You don't just stop making games in like, the most successful gaming franchise ever. I think it'll be a long time before they straight up make a Halo 4. I'm going with episodic content like someone else mentioned.
And f*** the cake! It's a f***ing lie! I say Halo 4 should have a Weighted Companion Cube. You could carry it around with you through the entire game, like you have to do with that stupid garden gnome to get the "Little Rocket Man" achievement in Episode Two.
