i never liked halo. but when i went live bungie's multiplayer for halo 3 sold me. i still don't care for the story but for great multiplayer bungie knows what its doing. and sense i don't think their going to make it i don't care. i follow the developers not the game names.
Well they certainly left the 3rd halo open for a halo 4.....because if you clock halo3 on legendary and watch all the way to the end of the credits, thier is a little movie.

Maybe all the Halos aren't destroyed, maybe the flood wasn't killed, maybe all the brutes aren't dead, maybe convenent isn;t on our side, no one except bungie knows.

but they may still be a 4th halo game in the same format as the first 3 halo games. people who make games and films have come out of trickier closed stories than halo to bring out sequels after they said enough is enough. they can always make a new story and threat to make halo 4. like he gets woken up coz something bad has happened as a side effect of getting rid of all the halo's. that IGN article prooves nothing, just a combination of a few rumours. adds nothing new. they dont even have a clue whats going on just suggest who might be making it and they aint even sure who. i think bungie are making a new halo game (not wars or peter jackson halo) but i think also gearbox are working on a port of halo 3 to the pc. like they did for the other pc halos

not all the rings were destroyed chief and the legendary ending actually leads into a game previously created by bungie called marathon
They are not making a Halo 4. Like the other guy said, they are making a spin-off to the Halo series. Supposibly, a Star WArs Republic Commando like COOP game. You will play as soldiers during the time of the war with the covenant was going on. Maybe they will stretch it too the end of Halo3 and a little further. I read it's going to be a violent and darker game than Halo3. Violent and such. Capture the feel of WWII, but in the Halo universe. This was supposibly the game they were gunna announce at E3, but it got pulled at the last second.
At the end of Halo3, the brutes weren't dead, and the war wasn't over. It's just that Master Cheif destroyed the rings, and the prophets were dead and the flood invasion was stopped. So with no one in charge or in command (no prophet and no gravemind), the war was basically set and done. But there was still battles after the game was over. It was just UNSC soldiers and Sarg (maybe even arbitor) wiping out the last of the brutes and enemies that invaded Earth, etc.

like all great epic fights in entertainment, you can get rid of one enemey but if the cause is worth fighting for then another will always come in they place. halo will carry on one way or another, if its halo4 or another halo title, be absurd to think they will of made the whole universe come to the point of total peace. theys always another fight to fought around the corner.

That's what Bungie is making.
The new rumor is that Gearbox will be making Halo 4. There is no way in hell that MS is going to throw away Master Chief and he will be back one way or the other. Will it take place before Halo 1? Maybe. 10,000 years after Halo 3? Maybe.

for some reason if u see on the link halo 4 rumored below it says xbox 720 rumored so i guess halo 4 will be coming out years from for the new xbox console

Maybe the 4th halo game will have new enemies... you never know( except if you work for bungie or microsoft lol)
