I just want to begin by saying that I did not have an X-box until the 360 came out, so I was not privy to Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2. I will most certainly be willing to pay $60 when it is released because for me, it will be a brand new title and halo to enjoy, with updated graphics! Though I am wondering, for those of you who may know more than I, with the graphics being updated and 343 industries using Halo Reach's engine, will it simply be the first game but look and play as well as Halo Reach?
the gameplay is identical to halo CE, with a second layer of graphics on top to make it more pretty. It's not reach's engine. But it's going to be worth the money, its only $40 and comes with 7 multiplayer maps for the halo reach multiplayer
The only difference between Halo CE and the Halo CE remake is there are terminals which add story to the universe, as well as the shapes of elites. Other than that everything is the exact same
It's only going to cost $40. And it is definitely worth it. We are getting an HD remake of an incredible game as well as 7 maps for Reach multiplayer. It's a great deal.
Blood Gulch is already in halo reach, so remaking it would be redundant. There's beaver creek, and hang em high for sure, and 1 firefight map. Not sure about the other 4 maps though
First off, the game will be fourty dollars. Secondly, the campaign wont be using the Reach engine. It's a different one entirely. But still, it'll play the same as the original Halo and have the same level design and everything(you can even switch between classing and new graphics on the fly with the press of a button. Bassically, the campaign is the same experience but with better graphics, a reorchestrated soundtrack, online co-op and some extra minor additions such as audio logs. The multiplayer will be Reach's, just new maps. It only has the seven new maps(meaning it wont come with the previous Reach maps. If you have Reach the Halo remake comes with a code that lets you download these new maps to your hard drive and play them with the rest of your Reach maps. A patch will be incorporated next month for Reach so that you can experience Reach in a more classic Halo fashion, though 343 has yet to clarify exactly what they'll be changing.

Beaver Creek is already in Team Classic... Basically every Halo map has already been remade in Forge World ;\ But I'm buying it for the campaign not for the lame ass Reach maps.

^^This. Some crazy arcady MP would have been AWESOME.
I was always hoping they would release the MP with matchmaking on XBLA, and so I was disappointed when they announced the maps would be in Reach.
