halo or gears of war

 If you could only choose between one of the two which one would it be and why?

halo is a good game, but GEARS is better....way better

plus 3rd person is newbish .. hiding behind a corner and peeking without sticking yourself out is not realistic. 

Both are great games but in the end I have to go with Halo.

Have you even played the game? You get Achievement points for beating the campaign on Casual, Hardcore, and Insane. You also get points for collecting the COG tags and for playing as Dom. I can tell you that every time I played through the campaign to get those achievements was a blast.

You do make yourself vulnerable. While aiming and shooting out of a corner, you have your head and body partially exposed. Yes, you can blind fire and that is when your bullets are just being spread out in many directions.

As for the topic at hand, I would choose Halo largely because the third in the series is coming out.

yes i have the game. i wouldn't be talking about replay value if i didn't play it. i beat the game on insane and hardcore. i meant AI is so predictable. in halo if you change the difficuilty they add more AI and respond better(shoot more, take cover). in gears all they do is increase the damage power the locus produce

they are very close...I dont own a 360 yet so because i actually own halo 2 i give it good creds..

but playing gears at a friends house..espically online is so awesome......

if i had to rate from 1 to 10 (10 being best) Halo2 would be like 9ish and gears would be a little higher...

plus even if you can look around corners in gears..whoever thinks thats noobish....your character is much more realistic..you can climb and jump over objects...you can stick to a wall and stay in cover...and blind shoot....BOTH ARE FUN!!!!

wow after playing halo 1 and 2 for a LOT. And Gears a lot practically got seriously over 8 thousand kills i would honestly have to say Gears of War is a much better game i don't know why but it has grown on me over time more and more. Gears Of War is no doubt the best GAME EVER MADE.resevilfan1

chill out man.. why are you getting mad? its just a game. when it comes to online play, halo wins. there have been many times where im just waiting for ever for people to join in gears. 2 vs 2 is pretty lame.

halo, gears got  boring after a while

damn... halo is wrecking GoW.... maybe its because GoW online is trash.... and everyone is pumped for Halo 3
