Halo reach beta?!

when does the halo reach beta start? i thought it starts as soon as u get the copy of ODST. i have an invitation but i dnt get it lol. can someone shed some insight for me please

Does that make much sense? Release a brand new multiplayer game and then start up another one at the same exact time?

Why is there alot of people that do not read or search the internet. People post on here with questions that they can most of the time answer themselves, but instead wait for a response that is usually not a nice instead of using the service they are paying for to get the internet. You either misunderstood or read from an unreliable source. The ODST disc is the beta key for when the Reach multiplayer beta is released. The game is scheduled (not confirmed) to ship in the fall of next year, so it's likely that the beta will release during Spring 2010.

They never said anything about starting the Halo Reach beta asap. They only announced that it would be added. Makes no sense releasing a game then immediately putting out a beta for the next one. I agree with the whole milking the Halo series to the last drop. Just stay patient, don't think about it and the time will come before you know it.

I dunno, I agree that it isn't truly milking but you can't compare those series at all. Final Fantasy has 20(ish) different games with 17 different plots and stories with several different control schemes and game types.

Mario has evolved from a 2d sidescroll platformer to a 3d full on action game with RPG games as well. Lots of diversity.

Halo has 1 story and is basically one game redone 2 times with two spin offs one of which is complete crap (Wars).

Mario has evolved from a 2d sidescroll platformer to a 3d full on action game with RPG games as well. Lots of diversity.

The only thing I consider milking in those are the re-releases and compilations, which are re-releases. Final Fantasy has always been about separate stories for the most part. A fan of the Final Fantasy series knows that no 2 games will be all that similar.

Like I said, I don't think what so ever that Halo is milking, milking is putting out bland sequels tagged with the name just to draw profit. Like any Madden game lol.
