Yeah that "article" was total Bologna/Baloney(still dont know how its spelled). The arguments stunk and They both just resorted to bashing the other side. I am more of a Halo fan(check out my blog-COD4 vs. Halo 3 and you can see my reasoning) mainly due to awesome customizability in matches and Forge. Gears is just getting started. Halo is done (and good riddance). Gears enjoys a much better campaign than any of the Halo games; even you cannot deny that.codezer0

Can't agree more hands down

I personally thought Gears was awful. No aiming reticle unless you hold down the aim button, meaning Marcus takes up even more of the screen. Constantly repetitive battles, horribly dull scenes, paper thin plot, cliche "badass" characters.

Halo has flaws, but to me it's miles better than Gears. Looks better in terms of the visuals and use of colour, plays a lot smoother, better mix of gameplay elements, more interesting story (if a tad generic, but at least it HAS a story), a lead character that has a valid reason for seeming to be thin and without backstory, i.e a design choice.

Same for me, if Bungie would have just made the level of smaller like aize of COD4 or like Orange box of 360and not have emphasized on making huge draw distance and spending a lot of algortihm on cloud which were not textures and where volumetric they could have easily got more Polygons and hyper detailed textures in their game and that would have been more than enough for me. Hopefully DLC2 bungie is changing their traditional way and giving their maps more polygons and textures and making it smaller to make it intense.

Halo...

I don't really like shooters, but Gears is more repetitive than Halo, IMO.

I love both games, but if I had to pick, I would go green.

Maybe GoW 2 will change my opinion...

haha half life 2 is better than both in my mind, but since the forum is on gears or halo im going for gears of war while drinking beers of war

Gears of War is better for me but I never really experienced Halo 1 and 2 because I never owned an Xbox.

Halo 3 was good fun but it just got boring while I played Gears for an entire year and still enjoyed it and still do (over a year)

However, driving around in Ghosts and Warthogs are so much fun.
