Halo Wars: not so good

i believe that halo wars will not fit in the halo series. its not a fps its a rts which will probably not appeal to gamers of the 360. im not saying rts games are bad just look at world in conflict. but halo wars will probably not be good and will not sell has much then what other gamers think. its clearly taking a long time to make this game so who knows it may be good but for now im sticking to my opinion. what do u guys think?

well I'm pretty sure Halo was originally set to be a RTS in the first place, so maybe they have a set view for this that will make it great...im looking forward to it either way

Ya I remember the April Fools Joke, im just saying I would look foward to the possibility that it would happen. Even jokes lead to rumours, and there are plenty of people who would love to see it happen

im sure a halo RTS will do just as good

Bungie showed us with Halo: Combat Evolved that FPS could be nice in consoles, so I think that they"ll make it again with Halo Wars and RTS. I know that C&C and Universe at War are great RTS for the 360, but I also expect more from Bungie.ronyboyparrudo

eh im not really looking forward to it, but curious to see what kind of review it gets. I liked C&C and Starcraft on the pc, but those games have been copied so many times. It's just kinda getting old if you ask me. BTW, i played "universe at war" demo this morning, its somoewhat good, but C&C3 is more fun if u ask me. RTS are just meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard, just like MMOPRG games. But the Xbox360 is doing a decent job porting them over (compared to older consoles like the ps and ps2).

edit: and btw, its Developer will be Ensemble Studios, not Bungie. so expect an Age of Empires type of gameplay.

they wouldn't make a Halo Lego videogame if they didn't already have Halo Legos in the stores, so even if i'm almost 16, youwould find me in my room playing with legos again. Master Chief helmet with a girls body would be great and the possibilities for the products are endless.
however, Halo is a mature game and will most likely not appeal to people who play with legos..

Im looking forward to it, its being made from the same creators of Age of Empire, so I expect good things about this game.

Ensemble got the idea and they contacted MS and Halo Wars is not a forced game on Ensemble but its from what they forsee as a great concept.

Same i love that they're making an RTS. For one thing i love rts and there's not that many out for the xbox 360 and i love Halo. I think it's a great idea to change up the game and make it more interesting i mean who didn't want to control all of the different units? Maybe that was just me but i just can't wait to buy it.

Sorry to be blunt, but personally i believe ur assumtion that halo wars will suck purely because the main series was mostly a fps genre is dumb. I'll tell you why, they aren't trying to skew the fps or take the original engine and try to change. But rather take the theme and the story and the characters and make a new game, so how could u say it will suck.... The first FPS were probably bad on consoles too, but games such as the old golden eye improved the genre. You shouldn't say something sucks until u have played it.. like people who never played FF7 and said it sucked. Wait for the game to be released then try it, then state ur opinion.

I for one would be willing to give this game a chance, as long as it's not yet another uninspired, unupdated yawnfest FPS Halo, I'm happy enough to at least try it and keep an open mind.

i think the game will sell fairly well - because of the halo IP, but not as well as halo 3 because of the genre change.

personally im really looking forward to it - i love RTS games and i do like the halo universe. and hopefully, because it is being developed for the 360 primarily, they will get the controls right, have no horrible slowdown, and decent graphics. *crosses fingers*

it's being developed by Ensemble, who have a fairly decent RTS pedigree, so i am optimistic about this one
