Just wondering is it possible to finish Halo3 on legendary solo or is it insanely hard?

Been speaking to people and they said you can't finish it solo, you need a mate to play co-op with you.

How hard is legendary? Played heroic and it was hard but i managed it ok.

my friend beat legendary by himself. he said it was hard but if u no every level and know to use strategy during the game instead of running up in there shooting then u can do it. it took him maybe a day to beat it.

Its possible solo, but with the literally retarded friendly AI, I'd consider it a mental suicide :P

Big tip is to stay back and take out the snipers before entering large areas, because they only miss once on Legendary, if that. If you just run in, and there are snipers, you'll be dead before you can take out a few enemies.

it's hard, but not impossible. I've beat it by myself with 3 gold skulls turned on. What really helps is having a carbine or batlle rifle and a plasma pistol. Brutes are obviously the most difficult enemy, and a noob combo is their weakness. Give it a try if you managed through heroic fine.
