The game has never ended for me when somone quits. Infact last night two people on my team quit and left it 2 vs. 4 and my teamate and I still won the match.

maybe its the host that leaves and thats why the game ends? =/Â dunno
I didn't think there were hosts in Halo 3? Considering, everyone is playing off of MS/Bungie servers. Anyways, that has never happened to me, just last night a few people quit out of a game and the game continued. Maybe you lost connection for a bit, and if not then you should probably report it to Bungie.
