Halo...is it losing its shine?

Huge Halo fan, loved Halo 2 but not as much.....Halo 3.....ehhhhh just is not doing it anymore. Halo dropped the ball with the MP again....it just gets so boring after so long. COD4 devs have figured it out how to keep players coming back for more and more. New perks...new guns....who cares about a new armor suit....give me something that makes a difference in the game.

I sold my copy of Halo 3. Bad ending to a "so-so" single player campaign and the my multiplayer gaming time is much better spent playing Call of Duty 4.

Huge disappointment overall for me.

I didnt finish the SP game of Halo 3 yet and may not. Is there going to be a Halo 4 and if so what do you guys think the Halo series has a chance to recover or is it too late?drdrillnfill

How can you say Halo 4 will have to recover when 3 sold more copies on its first day then any other game in history? Halo 4 will have to be fresh yes and have a new hero to face the game, but to say it has to recover would be undercrediting the franchise.

I've been riding the COD4 bandwagon when I found out Infinity Ward was developing it early last year. Don't make the mistake in assuming that all of us are sheep.

Even when the Halo 3 Beta version was out, I was telling everyone it's Halo 2 HD. Bungie assumed that all these extra multiplayer options would keep players interested.

I can think of at least two dozen other titles I would rather play than Halo 3.

i still play halo 3... i have liek 507 on achivements. the problem is theres nothing to it. it seems that every update they make it so u get the same thing over and over... lately i've been getting br which is tiring to see. i got the pit about 3 times of team slayer today then we stoped playing it we got narrows which was good.

i don't have call of duty 4 so i can't say which one is better.

Bad joke I know, but I love Halo's MP. Equipment just bugs me a little.
