Harddrive Questions

so, I have one of the reallllly old 360 harddrives, it's total space is like 10GB. This simply doesn't work anymore. Now, I'm curious about my options for upgrading. Do harddrives all come with something to move my old harddrives data onto it? if not, is it possible to get a memory card, put my gamertag on it, and then i can redownload all of my DLC for free?

I heard the hard drives come with a data migration kit so you can move everything on your current hard drive to your new one.
