I'm not terribly fond of difficult achievements. If they feel like they're going to be too hard, I just don't do them. The most recent one I tried was Insane mode, PS3 Castle Crashers. I just found it stupidly hard, and through Playfire it's an Ultra Rare. Less than 3% of all the gamers on there have it. I'm sure there are many others that are more difficult, I just don't find fun in doing achievements that are that hard. I work a tough job, have 3 kids and a wife, and I find it fun to unwind playing video games. Relaxing and such, this "difficult achievement" thing is not for me.
I don't know. The recent one that comes to mind was "That as Totally Worth It" in Halo Reach. You have to get a double kill from beyond the grave, meaning to kill from beyond the graves have to come up simultaneously. It is basically pure luck. I'm sure I have ones that were more difficult but I don't know.
Still Something to Prove-Beat all campaigns on expert. ~Left 4 Dead 2
was a pain in the ass. took several hours all together to get.
Tactical Challneger in Vanquish.
There's 6 challenge levels and most aren't too hard. They're easily beaten in 1 or 2 tries.
Then came challenge 6. It took me two weeks of replaying that mission multiple times a dayfor me to finally beat it.
I also did the 7-day Survivor in DEAD RISING, but that is really more about setting the time aside to do it, because you have to survive for 14 consecutive hours, there's no saving, and your health continually drops.
prolly mentor in ninja gaiden 2
and some of those arcade titles (bulletproof in contra, all of lumines lives achievements, doom on ultra violence)
I don't go for the ridiculously difficult achievements, they just aren't worth my time. With that said, I was quite proud of achieving "A Monument to all Your Sins". I've always felt like Halos' Legendary difficulty was tailored for 4 players in co-op to have a difficult time, so completing Reach's Legendary solo was pretty damn satisfying but also a lot of fun.
you sir, must not have played mortal kombat

L4D2 - Guardin' Gnome: Rescue Gnome Chompski from the carnival. oh my GOD! It didn't help that the Dark Carnival is my least favorite campaign, but man that was such a huge pain- the tunnel of love, the roller coaster and the random placement of the helo at the end of the finale... it took over three hours and something like 12 deaths from the best player.El_Zo1212oReally? Took me and a friend like 15minutes and no deaths...

I have, didn't like it . . . The only fighting games I like are MVC3, Blazblue and somehow SSF4 . . . You're the first person who I ever heard say that MK9 was hard or ever had any insanely hard achievements . . . If there are then please state it out . . .you sir, must not have played mortal kombat

Mile High Club (CoD4)
Gold Star (Ballad of Gay Tony) - Idk it was more time consuming but there were some annoying parts
For the Motherland (World at War)
The City of The Angels (L.A. Noire) - Only because everything in free roam that counted towards 100% (street crimes, film reels and finding all the vehicles, was not hard but BORING, felt like a chore and I don't ever wanna do it again)
Star 69 (MW2) - I think finding a decent co-op partner was harder than fighting the jugs :P
All the other hard achievements were just a matter of getting a friend to play with me (i'm extremely single player oritened so its hard for me to find someone to get co op achievements with) or extremely time consuming

1 day Game play time on each character?? like 350 somthing hours??...10 winstreak if you dont cheat its impossible because everyone times out in ranked...plenty more other achievments that take to much time or cant get because of ppl being sore losers...I mean if you have no life yea it might be easier I guess
Completed Halo Reach on Legendary by myself. Never doing that again.001011000101101I can understand that. I'm sure it's easy for some people, but I'm not very good at shooters so I'm having a hard time clearing Halo games on Legendary. Mine is probably one that doesn't exist. Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja. But if I have to pick one that actually exists, I'd say clearing DMC4 on Hell or Hell.

What are you even talking about? Nothing about MK is hard.
On topic I have no idea.. going by Trueachievements it's Meritorious in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat.Darkslayer16

Well, if 350 hours to get that achievement is correct, then I'd consider it hard. You'd have to play for two weeks straight without eating or sleeping.
I don't mind achievements but that just seems like an incredible waste of time.

Halo Reach Legendary Solo was challenging only because of hunters and damn elites with insane shields.

You guys are acting like you have to get the achievement in a month. If you like the game and play it for a couple years you'd get it easily.

That's not hard.. I have MK on the PS3 and have everything but mastering a few things on some character (I have the time played on all of them) win streak is easy because MK is a casual fighting game so most people online are terrible. Just because something takes time doesn't make it hard.firefox59

exactly thats my idea of hard is time consuming....if its "hard" but can be done in 30 seconds but just with luck or habit then its not very hard IMO...yea the hours played on the characters comes naturally and isnt actually complicated but I had a son recently and go to school and have a job...so anything that forces me to play hours (or 350+) for just ONE trophy is harder i think
Probably beating gears 2 on Insane mode....lol baird (controlled by computer AI) kept running ahead in one level and repetitively dying from enemies. Also the BRIDGE OVER TREBLED SLAUGHTER achievement in L4D2, you had to run the bridge in less than 3 mins with tons of zombies rushing at you..that one took forever to get

not really. youd have to play regularly and with each character even ones you dont like. spend a lot of time with them too. its hard to take 350+ hours for that. that is hard i dont care what anyone says never mind the amount of patience required. of course then there are the online ones one my favorites is win a ranked match with 10% or less of your health....like really? pure luck. another win without jumping. MK 9 has some rough ones.Never Say Die - Get an S ranking on all the missions in Dante Must Die (Devil May Cry 4)
Rosa's True Power -Cleared the game using Rosa without continuing (Deathsmiles)
7 Day Survivor - Survive for at least 7 days. (Dead Rising)
Saint -Get at least 50 survivors out of the mall. (Dead Rising)
I think this are the hardest ones that come to my mind now :)
