There is still some time left so gather up more money and get both. I am definitely getting both because both are looking like they are going to be amazing games. :)
if you absolutely can not get both. i would wait for mass effect. however since they are released about 2 1/2 months apart you can probably get bioshock, beat it and trade it in towards mass effect, or come up with another $65 to get mass effect in november.

Then go into deep depression where you have to live on the street and beg for money to buy Bioshock, but its a long ordeal that resulted you in doing things you regret. Suddenly when you finally raise $70 and buy Bioshock, you realize you no longer have a TV, an XBox, or even a home anymore, and the game is esentially useless.

Um..Mass Effect doesn't come out until November..why not get both? I'm sure you can summon up enough money by November to get Mass Effect. So you should definitely get Bioshock first.
I voted Bioshock. It comes out first it will last you while, its already gotten 10/10 reviews or whatever. But both are worth getting when they come out. How will it take you that long to save up another 70 bucks?

Well I say get Bioshock first and then 3 months later when ME comes out, get that too. There has to be SOMETHING that you can do to make some dough before November. Unless you live in a box.
If you can't save up enough money to get Mass Effect in 2-3 months than maybe gaming shouldn't be your hobby. Try stamp collecting, it's cheaper and loads of fun! [/sarcasm]
