Has anybodies xbox controller suddenly turn off?

My xbox controller has now died; it has nothing to do with the battery, it did this while it was fully charged. It starts flashing and the lights in the middle ring on the controller start to go around in a circle, its weird. It used to stay on for long periods of time before it turned off, it now turns off as soon as I turn it on. It's a real drag!! What if anything do you guys recommend to fix this? should I just get a new one? Please Help!

I had that happen a while ago. I just kept using it anyway and it just fixed itself. Maybe buy a play and charge kit?

... play and charge kit is bad. It kills your battery really fast. Use charge pack instead.magicalclick

How do you know this? I've never seen or heard anything about the Play and Charge killing batteries ... Also, how do you get your Gamercard? I am registered with MGC.net and I don't have that one to pick from ...

To Solidpepe ... I agree it sounds like it IS your battery. Do you play a lot? How long have you been using that battery? Do you often take it off and on? If so maybe try cleaning the contacts.

Mine only 'suddenly' goes off when it needs charging.
