Just IMO I feel like we have been totally ripped on this issue.  if you didnt buy the actual premium the 20GB HDD is 100$ Can you imagine how much it would cost at a 120GB???  Meanwhile they come out with all this great stuff downloadable movies and tv shows and now soon Tv with maybe a tivo function right.  So where are you suppose to download this stuff too.  Now with a PS3 even though they are not as good online right now i can buy a 160GB HDD for like $138 And if it gets as good or even close they have won that battle.  What are your thoughts on this I love my 360 And my PS3 equally but do you think MS dropped the ball in that Dept especially knowing there were going to come out with all this DL content?

Trolling. But anyway. It'd take Sony forever to get it's online system up to Xbox Live. Xbox live has been developing for over 5 years. Hopefully they will take the 20's off the market, and replace them with the bigger one.

I'm pretty sure you can only rent, not purchase the movies.

that would be like.....$1200!!! OMG its called mass production, makes products cheaper to produce which makes the cost go down which means prolly $150-$170 120 GB HDD. personally i dont think it will even happen but we will see.

Almost two years ago I bought a 120gb SATA hard drive for $50 - for $100 I can easily find 250gb+ hard drives. Even laptop hard drives reach the 100gb+ mark when you have $100 to spend.

Where Microsoft "pulled one over on us" was in requiring their proprietary drive - it's not *that* hard for them to say "we're making 5400rpm 2.5" laptop drives standard", they chose not to, and now it's ultimately biting the consumer in the rear.

That's for TV shows and so on that doesn't expire. All accessories for the 360 are ridiculously expensive. 20 GB at 99 USD! Wireless Receiver is also helluvalot expensive. However, the case is the same with the other companies.

Why is it that whenever someone has any sort of critiscim for any console on a fourm people automatically call it trolling? I think he has a valid point regardless of the PS3.  MS didn't come up with the idea to release HD downloadble content over night, they would have had this in planning well in advance, so why not cater for it.  Especially as the 20g HHD is actually only 11g due to system memory that takes up the difference.

Yeah, but what you are not getting is the fact that the 360 came out a year before the PS3 and MS hadn't fully planned on offering a downloadable movie/"tivo" function to the public. They are doing what every other company would do in their situation, Find a solution to a competitors "selling" points and beat it!

there is now way IMO that they did not have this planned a year ago, i am sure this was part of the planning stages while they were building the 360 offering these kind of things, And dont get me wrong i love it but i just hope if a bigger hdd comes its just not expensive

The 20 GB actually IS 20 GB. The thing is that 7 of the GBs are reserved for the cache, offline music info library and software updates.

That's ridiculous. 100 bucks for 20 gigs is insane.
