I would also like to point out that it takes more skill to get kills with the M16 against people using fully automatic weapons, so it obviously isn't "just for teh n00bs" as many would say.
the M16 is easily the best weapon in the game. I don't like it but i know it's the best AR, thats why it's the first weapon. Try getting kills with a G3 or a m14(okay m14 is pushing it)

i know many great pro players that use m14 u need some real skill to be good with it though

Woot woot grammar police lol. I'm hoping that is sarcasm if you did not notice it is spelled with a J on purpose to go with my first name. I will admit the m16 is the best AR but it definitely does not take skill to use. It takes just one 3 shot burst to the chest to take someone down with the m16, the m16 has virtually no recoil, there is a reason it is the first weapon you get to use online. The ak47 has terrible recoil when firing full auto which is why it is a challenge to actually take someone down from long range compared to the m16 which is why I love to use I feel like I actually deserve the kill instead of feeling cheap by using the m16.
The M16 is overrated. There are so many other guns that give me a lot more problems and I really never get killed by it that much. It's a good gun, but I like the G3 better. I feel more control with it, like it will shoot as fast as I am able to squeeze the R Trigger. The M16 has more of a rhythm to it and is not quite as accurate. It's a good gun, but not necessarily the best in the game. Maybe the best to use for new players.

I get by just fine using every weapon but the M16. If I can do it - and I'm not even that great of a player - anyone can.
Don't use that as an excuse, the M16 may be powerful, but it's by no means overpowered, and you are not forced to use it to compete. At least I'm not.

i beg your pardon? From the little time I spent playing COD4 those two were my most favorite of weps to use. Me and my M14 did crazy amounts of damage and we were one. The M14 is my most favorite weapon in the game too bad i dont like teh game much
nah, it's a noob weapon. it's for losers who can't aim for **** so they use it because it is way over powered and easy to get kills with. it's almost impossible not to get at least 30 kills with it when I use it.

I agree!! even when they camp with it. and thats even more noobish. instead of camping and waiting for the enimy to walk past they need to get up and move around and then they would be able to get more kills/pts that way.
All I can say is people need to stop complaining so much. If you really are good then you shouldnt get owned no matter what gun the "noob" is using. It's all just the different ways that people play. Get over having your killing streak ended by someone with a m16 and just keep playing the game.

Eh.. Hmm... I don't see whats so over powered about it.. It's just an M4 with burst fire in my opinion.. You could technically pull of the same 3 shot burst with the M4 anyways.. Unless you like to hold down the trigger instead of tap like you should.. :)

but the gun i do hate is the g36 its seems too weak

That's true to a certain degree,your timing has to be perfect with the G36c. But if you add the stopping power and deep impact perks, it can do some massive damage.
i didn't even know anybody liked the m16 but me lol. i play the pc version and hardly anybody at all uses that gun. i think its easy to kill people with it from a distance but up close you almost HAVE to hit somebody with the first burst to kill them if they have an automatic weapon. thats where the skill comes in.
my little skorpion can kick your m16's butt. in all seriousness though the skorpion with red dot and bandolier is freakin awesome. I'll even get long range shots almost every match, very versatile weapon IMO

The M4 is the definitely the weapon that gives me the most problems...and yes, tapping it at long range is the way to go. The only thing that annoys me is the people who tap it when they are fighting close range. Freaking unload with that thing! LOL, not sure why I get annoyed by that. Just gives me an advantage in close range combat.

Besides the M16 is one of the best rifles ever created if anything its underpowered as it has much better accuracy at long distance then depicted in the game.

lol i never use the m16 and it is the first gun i got the red tiger for. you just kill until you are out of ammo then you pick up the newbs m16 and there is unlimited ammo for it it seem like.

WOW seriously? So the object of the game is to kill someone... And your saying that its harder to kill someone with your gun that you use... WTF? why would you use a gun that was harder to kill someone with ... meh IMO i use that m16 and always come out with at least a 3 to 1 kill to deat ratio and i am usually at the top of the game... ak47's are for the noobs they think that a 3 round burst is not enough they would rather hold down the trigger and prey which is realy stupid considering that the ak47 has really bad accuracy...oh and the m16 has little recoil because it is a 3 round burst DEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR you can spray and prey while i pick you off with a powerful 3 round burst m16 all day long baby

Don't mean to sound like a 'hater' but isn't the point of the game to kill?? If a certain rifle does it better than another I don't see what is wrong with using it. I know, sounds crazy, but that is the way I thought the game was supposed to be played.
