Have hacks made COD4 and MW2 pointless?

I am doing a bit of research before I buy these games, but I keep seeing that a lot of people say the games are hacked and you wont have a normal multiplayer game?

Is this true for xbox?

If I want to play COD I have to get BlackOps?

Not true. MW is rampant with hackers. MW2 isn't as bad. WaW is horrible.

You can play MW2 without being too disturbed by hacking, but the One Man Army and Noobtube combo will drive you crazy, as it is abused in pretty much every match and noobtubes are shot off more than bullets a lot of the time...

And I doubt any anti-hacking updates will come out for any of those 3.

Personally I would rather play MW2 with hackers than play BO without them. Better physics, graphics, sounds... etc! That's just my opinion however. I hope MW3 isn't a blow out like BO. Fingers Crossed.....

yeah ive played MW2 alot recently and theres not many hackers, i havent played COD 4 for a while though so i cant comment and i dont own WaW anymore. is it really that bad?

CoD4- yes, full of hacks, mods, etc.

MW2- No, it's fine as of now

NO! finding hackers is well hard! Mw has a few. Mw2 even less but WAW is like jesus of getting hacked!

Infinity Ward recently patch MW2, it took care of glitches where people could walk through certain objects and detects most modders and infection lobbies. Call of Duty 4 and WaW are never going to be patched again however.

When i was playing COD4. i didn't have much problems. i had fun untill i got tired of playing it.

MW2 kill the COD series for me...

glitchs, hackers like no other... no fixes for months and months.

MW2 TIMELINE

day 1: Fun fair

week 1 name glitchs

Week 2-3: care package glitch, ect

Week 4-5 prestige glitch

Month 5 week 1: Huge game server hack, mods ect

MONTH 5 week 2: first game patch released, That pretty much did nothing but fix the servers, fix their game settings like holding the care package speed

(it seems when you mess with activision servers you get a fix but when you break a game you get nothing)

Month 8 other patch release, made it harder to do care package but not impossible, Emergancy care package glitch got pushed more in the game.

(I bailed out opf the gme at this time i couldn't take it anymore)

i played the game other night because im soo bored with video games and reached into my ben where i keep my games in and graped it.

1 year and 7 months in: played two games on the second one i got air strike glitched, air strike after air strike the whole game. So they fixed nothing

I still play MW2 regularly and never had a problem with hackers. Ever.

Potential clouding with cheaters is one reason why I'm not really into multiplayer much unless it's with friends. For one thing, cheaters make the big online leaderboard meaningless.
