Halo 2 on legendary was somewhat challenging but not as challenging as halo's legendary mode. THe only tough spot on Halo 2 is the very first level after that everything is down hill, halo just kept getting more and more difficult especially around the flood.slipslayer_666Your absolutely kidding me. Yes ,yes we all know that Halo: CE was better than Halo 2 but we all should admit Halo 2 was much more harder in Legendary mode than Halo: CE. Way harder. In fact, it got easier when the flood appeared in Halo:CE and even more easier when the Flood & the Covenant duke it out.

Are you kidding me? Atleast on Halo:CE the elite used cover, on halo 2 they use cover for a couple of minutes then decide to hop over the cover to get to you. I will agree tha Halo2 was challenging but only in the shear ammount of enemies that were sent your way. In Halo:CE youd get 2 mabye 3 grunts with about 6 or 8 jackle/grunts between them, of course youd lob a grenade and get rid of the grunts first but the elites were harder to kill and used more effective cover. In Halo 2 they send four or five elites at you which is frustrating because they all shoot fast and group together and 5 against 1 is unfair. Which is what happens alot in the first level, after that the elites are more spaced out and you can handel one or two of them at a time no sweat, mostley due to the fact that they dont use cover right, the only time they do is when their shields die. But by the time they do that you will have shot them enough to kill them outright or get to them while there under "cover" and finish them off.Â
Damn it.. I can't seem to get my gamercard in my sig. Anyone know how to do that? Using that link from xbox.com is definitely not doing the trick here.MoeRL
replace where it says "put your gamer tag here too" with your gamertag and see if that works.
To be fair the hangars you are describing are one of the hardest spots in the game, reminiscent of the grav-lift room in CE.
I can offer a few pieces of advice to help you:
1) Collect enough weapons before attempting it. Doors close behind you closing off your supply of new weapons when you start this level so ferry a load of plasma pistols forward (you will need them).
2) Try to kill the grunts as they come through the tube. They are bunched and an easy target.
3) Use PP then BR headshot to kill the elites.
4) Save your grenades. You will need them on the final hangar.
5) On completing hangar 1 pick up and drop lots of weapons (PPs especially) to make sure they don't disappear.
6) When hangar 2 gets a bit hectic, return to hangar 1 to resupply. When you go back to hangar 2 they will have forgotten about you and will be clustered at the far end.
7) Remove the final few elites by sneaking forward and sticking them with plasma grenades.
Hope this helps.
