Have you ever been banned from Xbox Live?

Never been banned and the feedback and reporting system do seem to be pointless

ive never been banned and ive done sum naughty things via xbox live lol.

like sending pics of gay porn to everyone on my players list, multiple times, and i still didnt get banned

the moral of the story is dont cross me.......and never open pictures you get from strangers

ive been banned like 8 times, the first offense is 1 day, then 3 days, then a week, then two weeks is the max you can be banned. Well you can probably get banned permanently but you'd have to be modding or something really bad

 btw the first two times i was banned was from halo 2, i probably deserved those.....i pretty much hate people in that game. The other times were in Gears of War, people would get mad about losing and file complaints on me, god I hate that.

I just would like to know why you have so much gay porn in the first place.

I knew a guy who talked a lot of trash about others peoples families and he got enough complaints that he got a call from Xbox Live telling him that they've got lots of complaints and to stop doing it or he would be suspended.

Feedback just lowers a persons rep and stops you from being put into their match's. You need to file complaints against people to get them ban. Of course is this only for serious things like cheating.limpbizkit818

I think the same.

The only bans I've ever heard about were from modding. I've never heard of someone getting banned for playing normally, and even glitchers seem to slip by sometimes. I once had a game of Halo 2 that lastest over four hours - the guys we were playing used a glitch to get off the level with the bomb, and because this was almost right after it came out, we had no idea how to get them down.

We literally fought until everyone on their team was AFK, then we spent an hour figuring out how to get off the level, kill the bomb carrier, and win the match. We weren't going to let the glitchers win.

This stuff I hear about people filing complaints on you for winning is new, and concerning. What kind of loser reports you for poor conduct for winning?

You are not banned permanantly. More like a suspension. When allot of people file a complaint against you in the same catagory, you will get suspended for a minimum of 72 hours from Live, depending on how many complaints you recieved. Don't worry about it though, I've only seen it happen twice and both recieved 72 hour ban from Live with more then 5 complaints they recieved in the same catagory.

Most people don't even use the complaint filing system, and if they do you probably did something wrong and it's still only one or two people who do it so you won't get suspended.

It's understandable you didn't read the user agreement and just accepted it without knowing what it said inside of it, but they actually have the right to ban you without any serious reason. If they see fit to may do so it says in the agreement. So, yes, they will ban you if they know something.

That's the dumbest **** I've ever read.

feedback works if you use it, customer support for xbox live is the same. Use feedback if someone is being offensive or a general prick use customer support if someone is modding or otherwise cheating. From when I first got X-Box live I made a habit of calling and reporting every single person I came into contact with who was modding, and also made a point of urging my team-mates to do the same thing, if you think for a second that when X-box customer support logs 8 complaints about a modder simultaneously that they won't investigate they're recent activity and immediately ban them, then you're crazy. I personally think if someone is found to be modding microsoft (instead of banning them) should brick their console and refuse warranty or replacement services. Modders are scum.Jeff_Boldt
