That happened to me with Oblivion. I played that game usually at night before going to bed for hours. I would often have dreams of being in an underground cave sneaking around and feeling kinda scared. Those were some cool dreams, though...
Hell yeah!! happens all the time. I will often play games at night after work until I cant keep my eyes open then go to bed. My brain is still running over the sequences.
Even worse though is having games CROSS OVER into the real world. When Splinter Cell game out I played it a lot, and I mean A LOT. I played it so much I would start looking at the world like Sam Fisher. I would notice down pipes, and fences that would allow me access to the roof, I would subconciously be judging the height of things for split jumps before I would even realise it.
I would be looking at this sort of stuff that you notice when you play the game in day to day activities, then I would sort of snap out of it, and think WTF!!, what the hell am I thinking? I think that game just changed the way your brain perceives the world, and it bled into the real world architecture.
I'm not kidding by the way, I'm not taking the piss, I did this for ages, I told my friend who used to play it as much as me, and he said he would somtimes see the green crosshairs in like, the back of his mind, overlapping his real world vision, I thought he was ****ing me, but he was dead set serious. Believe it or not.
I've had alot of dreams about different games. They usually occur when I've played something for a very long time (5-6 hours none stop) and then just go straight to bed.
Iv'e dreamt about all sort of crazy stuff like me losing to my mum in halo 3 and stuff like that.
YES indeed,........ i play cod5 waw for about five hours before i went to sleep and dreamed that i was a sniper in the upheaval and seelow maps using the nagant rifle with a scope....
good stuff !!
however,,,, i usuall dont remember my dreams at all.......like in the last 3 years or so.....kinda weird
I actually recall sort of what happened in the dream. It was from Gears of War 2.( an awful lot of people seem to have a dream about this game)
I saw a hallway fro, my school and a girl from my class looked like maria did in GOW2 and in a second i was fighting locust all by myself in my own school just to protect her, i don't think i ever had such a detailed dream of a videogame.
Weird just weird.
There have been times when I played 30 hours in a row and didnt feel tired. It has to do with each persons stamina. Also, someone who plays games only for a few hours per week will get tired easier than someone who plays on a daily basis.
As for the dreams now...I think its got to do with how exhausted you are when you go to bed.If you have been playing for long and then go to sleep totally wasted you will probably have dreams about the last thing you did in your day.
