Have You Made Any Firm Friends via XBL?

Seeing as gaming is being bashed all the time, I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to positive experiences through gaming thanks to Xbox Live. Has XBL introduced you to some great people? Did you meet your partner on Live? Your best friend?

I met one of my now fondest friends on XBL whilst playing GRAW. We were the only two English-speakers playing against a team of French people, so we got chatting - and we still are!

I have been playing on xbox live with the same group of people for about 2 and a half years. Awesome times, Awesome Games. I wanna meet up with them and touch them!aDDiKt24

You do realise xbox "friends" are real people, and not just computor images, so yes, technically they are your friends, unless your completely socialy inept, then I can understand.

Well I didnt meet this friend on XBL, but we met on another gaming site. I was on some forums asking some questions and he and I just clicked. From that we have exchanged gifts over the years. Plus he and his wife and me and my wife have met and had lunch and had some great laughs..

We hook up on XBL or messanger all the time and chat on the phone......Great guy and glad the internet exists.

Well, I got my top 5 favorite friends, and I also chat on msn and xbl and we always joke around, without them I would find xbl less enjoyable.

You and I have completely different definitions of "friend". I don't consider "people" whom the only thing I know for sure about them is that they play the same game as me.To each his own, but that's not a "friend" to me.
