Have you notice this about Mass Effect

That it gets so much priase now 2 years after it came out. I mean when it came out people were like 8.5 meh ok game, far to many glitches, and it wasnt talked about much.

Now, 2 years later, people dont stop going on about how much of an amazing game it was (and it was indeed) and reccomend it in every appropriate thread.

I just think its funny and was vastly under rated when it came out and only now people are realising it for how it truely is.

Sofar ME is my favorite 360 title since I've picked up a 360. IMO it is probably the best RPG to come out on a current gen console.

Also, I just picked it up about a month ago, and I've been praising it a whole lot. Also, the Platnium Hits edition is a port of the superior PC version, so that helps.

That game temporarily destroyed my mindthe story was so epic I went without sleep for 24 hours. Im about to start a renegade playthrough.

Yep it is noticeabe. The reactions of praise. About a week ago my brother sold off his COD4 as trade in for Mass Effect because of it's praise and massive campaign replayability. Suffice to say this game deserves every merit it's been given. My brother is playing Mass Effect as I write lol. 2nd Playthrough from what I've gathered for acheivements ^_^;;. I'll give it go sometime maybe after he's completed 1050/1050.

I thought it was a pretty good game, not Bioware at its best, but good. The world was good as were the races, though very similar to Babylon 5 in a LOT of ways.

There are a lot of people that said that the characters and world was all great, then there are people that say they couldn't get into it because there seemed to be so much to do and that they had little direction. To both types of people I think.....damn play some older PC RPGs, Fallout, Baldurs Gate, Planescape...jeez. It's definitely not the best RPG everbut it is not confusing at all like some people make it out to be. It's a really good came that will likely only get better as the series goes on. I believe Mass Effect 2 will be much better than the first. How they said it would be like Baldurs Gate 2 compared to 1 was pretty much what I was thinking it would be like. Keep the same basics but improve on everything.

I dont really agree. I bought Mass Effect the day it came out and finished it that week, because i was so addicted to it. When the gamespot review came i laughed. I thought if any game deserved a AAA review it was Mass Effect. Easy 9 or 9.5/10 for me personally. Right off the bat i knew it was a special game with an amazing story and some beautiful graphics and cool characters.

Yeah, tell me about it. My only complaint is that I wish they would've released more DLC. Just started my 3rd on Insanity... so far, so good!

yeah like they say " Everyone's a critic." I personally found the game fun both story and gameplay wise. Not Bioware's best (Neverwinter Nights:D ) but totally worth it.

I've always thought it was a masterpiece. Like all games, it's not perfect, but I'll be damned if it's not more than the sum of its parts. What a stellar sci-fi tale.

Yeah I wasn't a big fan of the combat but the story is so good. KOTOR 2 was the last RPG I remember with such an engrossing dialogue.

Edit: Clarifying, I haven't played many RPG's from 2004 (KOTOR2's release)-2007(ME release) but I've played most of the popular ones between that I believe excluding JRPG's.
