well have u noticed that alot of ps3 fanboys say that they used to have a xbox 360 and within a couple of months it has broken

well im still on my first xbox a year 1/2 on so i guess they say it just not to sound not like fanboys

Well, I own both and let me tell you this: it's true. Why the heck do you think they ADMITTED there was a hardware problem if there wasn't?

I would compare your one xbox 360 that hasn't broken to the one oyster that produces a pearl out of millions that don't. Just because it happens to one doesn't mean it's true for all.

My 360 has never broke. But I think 360 has lost its edge. PS3 has more intriguing games coming out, while 360 looks like it will just bore me to death. Alan Wake does not look that interesting at all to me. NG2 looks great, Lost Odyssey -mmmehhhh i dono.

PS3 - MGS4 = I would kill my cat for it right now. Final Fantasy 13 - I would slay 1000000000000 kittens and puppies just to play it.(not literally, but thts how much i want them!)

Mine has never had problems, ps3 has no games to play so maybe thats why it never breaks. It never gets any usage. Some might just call it a paperweight.adam_tea

Not true at all man. If they've failed they'd cut their losses and be done already. The PS3 is shaping up to be better then the PS2 by bringing back games people want to play (you know what they are). The fun factor will definitely be there with the games and their social network and the fact that everything is compatible with the PSP, which a lot of people have only adds to their potential success. Even though you say you're not a fanboy, you actually are because you're siding with the 360 with this generation.

I don't even have a PS3. You know they rushed the 360 so don't expect it to maintain this speed forever because eventually they'll have more problems to deal with which is why Sony took their time making the PS3 to avoid all this nonsense that XBL subscribers deal with.

Well you do make a good point but I would like to point out the fact microsoft has made developing for the 360 easy without much of a learning curve from the xbox to the pc to the 360 all pretty much the same as far as code. Sony is not a software company at heart and causes devs to learn alot more about coding for the system. Not saying either is better but they have both had around the same amount of time as far as devoloping for the systems. This is a huge factor in companies choosing to stray away from sony exclusives hence DMC 4, GTA, and many more. I really dont think sony will be able to pick it up as far as games their only hope right now is that blue ray takes hold. I would also like to point out that in order for sony games to be online the devs must write their own online code and put up their own servers where as Microsoft provides the servers and code for xbox live. This is the biggest obsticle for sony.

Yeah the online is definitely an obstacle, but I'd rather have the true storylines from the games like the PS2 did. I only played the PS2 online for about two months, the online wasn't as important back then, but if they could resolve this it'll definitely be a contender for the online marketshare.

its no longer going to be considered a console war. they are going to develop systems 2 years apart from each other.

that way each system has a chance at being number 1.

this is how its going to work, 2 years from now your going to see the new xbox 420, and that will be the number 1 system with direct X10 and faster cooler running cpu's. then 2 years after that sony will come out with their PS4, with a quad cell processor and some super new directX11 realism graphics, and they will be number 1. then 2 years later xbox comes out with a new system, then 2 years later sony has a new system, etc. etc. etc.

because they arent coming out at the same time, they arent really competing with each other. blu-ray wins the media war, and microsoft wins the online gaming war. its a compromise, and each system gets to be number one every 2 years. the gamer wins because of quality games and online play, and everybody wins the media war because blu-ray is better(we all know it is) and blu ray players become cheaper and replaces the dvd player.

Probly the only reason those "ps3 fanboys" 360s broke is because they didn't take good care of it, but I have nothing against ps3 I have a 360 and I'm planning to buy a ps3 sometime this summer because I want to expirience the best of both worlds.

first off i would like to say i am not a fanboy of either system, but christ when are people going stop using the it "dosn't have any game"defense at the ps3 neither did the 360 when it came out , and besides it has plenty of games now so anyone who says that it dosn't just sounds ignorant.

I think the consoles wars is one of the dumbest things that's happening on this planet.. and any body for the console wars REALLY should find something pertaining toward REAL life.. I mean it VIDEO GAMES I have a 360 and it was barely a year old and then I get the RROD, I love all the consoles I had my 360 fixed and I also own a wii, and going to buy a ps3 and the ps3 never breaks because they make game that the ps3 can easily handle, the 360 however they are making too many games that the console is having trouble processing, like Oblivion mainly REALLY check out your facts before you speak... but all 3 of the new gens are unique in there own ways.. and none are really BETTER than the others, unless the companies were all supposed to make the same console and then the one console could not do things that the others couldn't.. the person who started this board IS a FANBOY... otherwise he or she would not have posted a forum like this.... the true fanboys ALWAYS point them selves out

The only time my 360 has ever frozen was when it wasn't getting any clean air, and my friend and I were messing around and used the duplicate items trick on Oblivion to create like 150,000 poisoned apples in the middle of a town.

All fanboyism aside though, I have a few things to say:

1. I think the 360 is awesome.

2. I want MGS4.

3. I will probably end up getting a PS3 as well. Mostly for MGS4.

4. Both systems are ugly. (I mean physically. The games look good.)
