Haze release schedule incorrect-PC/360 still to be confirmed

Update: A spokesperson for Ubisoft has told Eurogamer this morning that yesterday's release schedule was incorrect. Haze is still to be confirmed for PC and Xbox 360, apparently, so the 30th November date now slips into the realms of TBA. The exclusive PS3 date remains the same.

well, i wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 version gets delayed and the 360 version gets released sooner.... danneswegman

I thought Haze for the PS3 was originally going to come out the same time as Halo?campbell1874

Well, that's what was expected since the developers were kinda anti-halo, a month later isn't bad though, releasing it the same time as halo 3 wouldn't really make a difference.

Releasing it at the same time as Halo would surely detract from potential buyers. Movie studios do this all the time when they know they are up against a heavy hitter.

Think about it, it's a PS3 time exclusive, what percentage of of 3.2 million PS3 owners own a 360? less than 50%, i can tell you that much, what percentage of the people who have a 360 and ps3 are going to get haze, less than 50%, i can tell you that much.

No movie studios try to space out the releases of their big hitters from other movie big hitters so they dont lose money.

No Haze? wow, too bad I guess I will just have to go to the game store close my eyes grab something off the shelf and see which good fps I happened to pick up.

Seriously though, anyone think this title will sell over a couple of hundred thousand copies when you consider what it's going up against this fall?

Haze is just some no name fps that will be lost in the pile of holiday releases.

I am not referring to 2 heavy hitters going against one another, because that would imply that Haze is a heavy hitter, and while it could be great, at this stage it is just another FPS. There have been movies that had a release date and then they get moved ahead or pushed back because they don't want to deal with another movie that opening weekend. It is typically with smaller movies that are going up against big movies. It does happen.

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny was supposed to release against Casino Royale and Happy Feet, but that got changed to a Wednesday release (it was also the same weekend of the PS3 and Wii release), and why was this done? Because no one would have gone to see it.
