Hbo go still works without hbo????

so ive used a few different accounts to get on hbogo on my xbox... and every time they expired or got cancelled hbo go immediatly stopped working... a few months ago i got hbo for free from verizon for a few months so i was signed up myself.. and when they shut off hbo i assumed hbo go was done as well.. so this morning i went to sign on under a friends account  but hbo go was still working... anyone else  had this happen to them??? also it was canceled in january so its been active for 3 months for free
