Microsoft dropped the HD-Support. Blu Ray wins.

still 49.95 too much...its a paperweight. chances are most of the movies that were released as HD-DVD exclusives will be re-released on blu-ray at some stage so theres really no point in wasteing money on it.osan0

It was still worth the $50 to me because you get 6 free HD DVDs and many places sell HD DVDs for $10 to $15 less then Blu-Ray. I also have a Blu-Ray/PS3 but there is nothing wrong with spending $50 for a HD DVD player and 6 free movies and if you can get HD DVDs at a bargin price. It wont be long and you will be able to get many HD DVDs on ebay for $10.

It doesnt really matter though because after March 1st the 5 free movies ended and most places are sold out of the HD DVD player.

Think of it as a collector's item. :)

Sort of like my ol' LaserDisc player.septemberluc

except you have to have a 360 for it to work............ a laserdisc you can use as a stand-alone.
