Alright, I just got a new tv. Its a 720p hdtv with HDMI ports and I was wondering if I can get my games in 720p with just a 360, not a elite. When I played Oblvion it didn't look any better, so I was wondering if there was anything I might be missing besides the right hookup and switching the one thing from tv to hdtv.
Ok so you switched it to HD, made sure the system was set to HD in the system blade and it looks the same? The text should be easy to read and the overall picture just better. Oblivion looked really good on my SDtv as well, so try a game like Dead Rising, there is a big difference.
You can get HD via component, VGA or HDMI. The VGA just looks better than component and the HDMI looks better than the VGA. Make sure you've got your Xbox set up correctly, of course. You need to set the res in the system blade.
